Sparky after she has been zooming around the yard.

Sparky - Her little face was in the window this morning when I got there. I was disposing of the mouse that was still around… I was hoping that nature would take its course and some hawk would carry it off but no luck. She gobbled down her breakfast and then was ready to start her morning patrol of the yard!

Chester & Bailey - Bailey spent the last part of the visit searching for the ball. It is somewhere in the tree line…. hopefully not over the fence but she looked for quite awhile and never found it. Ugh! It was the lighter ball too… I hope we can find it next visit! They are doing just fine and all three of us are loving this cooler weather!

Sparky - I got to your house last night and Sparky made the loop around the house. Then she ran into the middle of the front yard and grabbed her “toy.” Although from where I was standing, it didn’t look like her yellow tennis ball toy thing. I could tell by her behavior though she was very proud of it and it was hers! Well… it was a dead mouse. And she’d given me a couple of kisses. Yuck! I don’t normally mind kisses but not with dead mouse breath. :) haha!! Luckily her empty tummy won over her desire to hang out with the mouse so I fed her and then we played some in the back yard! She was just fine this morning too…. choosing to eat breakfast before scoping out the yard.

Max and Genny - they were just fine last night although they barked a lot when they were outside. The weather was great and lots of people were out so I think they just wanted to say hi to everyone! This morning Genny had to bark at a squirrel too!

Hadley & Ollie - I let them out this morning and Ollie had a hard time finding his ball… I could tell he was getting a little anxious about it. He did find one though…. shew!! I fed them both breakfast before I left.

Chester & Bailey - won’t update til tomorrow since I don’t see them for awhile yet today (it is 9am now.)

Suki & Yuki - I don’t think you read the blog but if you do, I probably won’t update their visit since you’ll get home and read the note before I blog again tomorrow morning. Just wanted you to know in case you do check in here!

Simba - Simba has really been enjoying his walks. We’ve been taking a longer walk in the mornings and shorter ones on the other visits. He has been gobbling down all of his food and he was staring at me this morning as I was leaving you a note…. I am thinking he was telling me he wanted a treat.

Lucky, Rocky, Maddie and Cotton - this morning, I let Lucky stay out with me as I was taking out the trash can. She got all excited when I was coming back and she was jumping around. She was pretty funny and obviously in a really good mood this morning. I did catch her eating the cat’s food yesterday…. no wonder their bowls are always empty!! They are all doing just fine.

Simba - We had lots of rain yesterday but Simba didn’t care. He still trotted right along. We’ve been playing with some of his toys inside too.

Lucky, Rocky, Maddie & Cotton - I got there this morning and Lucky was sleeping. I could see her through the door I tried to get a picture of her but the cats must’ve heard my car because they came in the room and woke her up. They are all doing just fine!

Simba doesn’t mind the rain! We’ve been fairly lucky with getting our walks in when it wasn’t pouring. :) He doesn’t care though… he just trots along, stopping to sniff occasionally and certainly taking care of all of his business. He is doing just great and I gave him his pill again this morning.

Simba..... recognize that look? That is what I call the "I'd like a treat, please" look! :)

Simba - he is doing just great. Yesterday both visits, we took short walks so he could do all of his business and I fed him. This morning we took a longer walk and Simba peed, pooped and did lots of sniffing. We’ve been hanging out together… playing and he’s been getting a lot of petting too. :) I gave him his medicine this morning along with his breakfast.

Hadley.... trying to politely wait for me to open the door. haha!!

Hadley & Ollie - Yesterday, I turned around to grab something before I opened the door and when I turned back around, Hadley was just sitting there so nicely, waiting for me to open the door. As if I was going to open it and just let him run out with a big orange & pink pillow in his mouth. It’s almost as if he was thinking, “if I sit here nicely like this, maybe she won’t notice the pillow.” Such a silly boy!! Needless to say, I made him drop it before he went out. Ollie is doing well. He’s getting lots of ball playing time.

Hadley - coming over to get rubbed on some more!

Hadley & Ollie - What a great couple of visits so far. I’ve not had any other visits to get to and the weather has been PERFECT so we’ve been hanging out in your backyard. Last night I got there early, brought a book (although then it got too dark for me to see) but it was just nice hanging out. Coffee with me this morning (I got there around 6:45am)…. heaven to me. I love early mornings! So… I’m doing great (haha!!) and Hadley and Ollie are too. I did have to coax Hadley in last night with some food (treats didn’t work) but I only gave him a couple of pieces.

I have learned this about myself: If I don’t come in and out of your front door, I am bad to forget to look for packages at your front door. If you are expecting a package or you get them regularly for work, etc, please leave me a note to remember to look for them!!

Hawk's shadow... made me LOL!!

Happy Birthday to Turk. He got extra ear rubs and 2 treats when I left today. (Hawk got 2 treats too :). ) We still have not had Willow’s bday party. It will be today. I had to postpone b/c I’d not made her “birthday cake” yet which is really ice cream for dogs. Here’s the recipe, super simple:

1 small container plain yogurt or plain greek yogurt

1 tbsp peanut butter

1 tsp honey

Mix together and freeze in ice cube trays of small tupperware containers. I just made them this morning… had I made them yesterday I would’ve brought you 2 of them. Have fun with the birthday boy today.

Stella was having a play date with Jackson & Quigley yesterday and I got to meet her for the first time. What a nice surprise!!! I love GSPs. :)
