Snow update: the roads around my house are just fine this morning.  They're saying on the news there are patches of ice but I didn't have any problems.  The dogs are loving the snow! Look at all the snow!!

As you can see by the snow, theyve been playing!

Winters and Nixon - here is Laura's note from her visit yesterday:  Winston and Nixon are having a great time in the snow! The backyard went from a beautiful blanket of snow to a blanket of snow with dirt mixed in in a very short time due to their rough playing and running around. Winston simply plops down in the snow and chews on his tennis ball for a while - that sure seems cold to me! I took of picture of Nixon with snow on his nose. It really shows up against his jet black fur. It's funny to throw the ball to them now because it gets buried in the snow and they really have to search for it. It looks like a snowball once they do find it.

Basil- Shannon said she has about 50 pictures of him!

Basil - If you're wondering if Basil is being well cared for, here is Shannon's note from today:  This little man is my new love munchkin! Basil is the one! He purred throughout the visit and drooled a lot ; -) he even got his ears cleaned today! Love him!

Boston and Sox - Neither one of them came to see me right when I walked in but then Sox made an appearance.  He was under-foot the whole time I was there.  I know he misses you.  I didn't see Boston even when I got the treats out.

Snow update:  south Charlotte probably has 3-4 inches of snow, maybe a little more.  The roads are pretty clear though.  The main roads are easy to drive on and the side roads aren't bad.  If the snow doesn't melt today and the temps drop really low tonight, tomorrow morning could be hazardous trying to drive.  I hope everyone makes it home as planned but please let us know if you can't.  We don't want your furry kids to go without care.  I've already called many of you to check in b/c of the weather....  Safe travels to all! Tiger Lily - She was really talking to me this morning.  I think she really misses you but she is doing just fine.  I gave her lots of lovin' while I was there and she took her medicine okay too.

Nas - He must've been sleeping in his bed when I pulled up.  He came out when I opened the door.  I fed him so he ate a little bit while I was there and I refilled his water too.

Boston and Sox - I will see them around noon and probably won't post a note until much later today or perhaps after tomorrow's visit.

Winters and Nixon - what a fitting name Winters has today.  Here is Laura's visit yesterday:  Merry Christmas to Winston and Nixon! It is finally snowing tonight (will take pics tomorrow morning). Winston and Nixon don't seem to mind one bit. In fact, they seemed even spunkier tonight as they chased each other in circles around the yard as they snow was coming down. Well, it was more like Winston was chasing Nixon. Winston kept trying to get Nixon stirred up about something. Whatever it was, they looked like they were having a great deal of fun! I can't wait to see how they will act when there is even more snow on the ground tomorrow.

I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays and staying warm!  I am updating the blog once / day, typically in the morning. I think Darby must like laying in the sunshine.

Darby - He loves his belly to be rubbed. He actually rolls over on his back like a dog...its cute.

Winters and Nixon. 2 full bowls of food but they have to eat out of the same one, at the same time!! LOL!

Laura is taking good care of Chocolate Solo too!

Winters and Nixon - Winston and Nixon are just as sweet as I remember from the first time I watched them. They were very happy to see me. I almost didn’t make it through your front door! We had a good time outside yesterday. They used a lot of energy up playing fetch with their tennis ball. It is always entertaining watching them compete for it. It is funny because they start searching for it before I even throw it. Winston ended up with it more often than Nixon did. I almost didn’t recognize Chocolate Solo. I am glad you told me she gained weight. I didn’t know fish could gain that much weight? I love the picture I took of her. I hope you can make her out. She was looking straight at me!

Sweetie is such a sweetie!

Sweetie - she is doing great and enjoying her cuddle time and her walks!

Nas - I've not had a Nas sighting yet (nor his friend either!) :)  I love his bed... that is pretty fancy!

Boston and Sox - visit to occur shortly.  Will update later today or perhaps not until tomorrow.

Cat Sitting on Mon Dec 20

Spanky and Ramba sure know how to make a pet sitter feel loved! They both immediately come to me when I first arrive and just rub against me and purr nonstop. I have a routine down now with them -- me and Spanky spend some sofa time together where she gets to be a total lap cat. I even get her to chase her feather-on-a-string toy at times. She gets around so well with her little cone. Ramba is usually in her bed in the garage but when she sees me she practically comes running. I immediately pick her up and give her all the TLC she can handle. Such affectionate kitties! They are both doing great!

PJ - I saw PJ bright and early this morning after dropping my mom off at the airport.  He was happy to get his breakfast and I pet on him too.  He really liked that and of course, he liked his breakfast too.  I put the flea medication on him today too. Lulu - Lulu and I went for our walk this morning.  It was so early, we didn't see anyone else out at all.  She pooped 2x and she peed.  I let Buddha outside when I got to your house and by the time we got back from our walk, he was sitting at the back door ready to come back in!  I refilled both of their bowls, gave Lulu her meds and brushed her a little bit too.

Lucy and Gibby - they ran out to pee real fast and then they came back in.  I fed them breakfast and gave them their pills.  After breakfast, we went back outside for awhile so they could take care of the rest of their business and do some sniffing!

I think I should've asked Santa for a new camera.  Mine is working when it wants to which is not very frequently.  Ugh! Lulu - She got to see a neighbor yesterday at dinner time and that made her very happy.  Then last night on the walk she got to see Zoe.  That made both she and Zoe very happy.  This morning we had a nice walk.  She did lots of sniffing again and I think she peed 3x and pooped 2x.  She was very busy!! :)

Lucy and Gibby - the kids are doing just fine and eating well.  They've both been getting their medicine when they're supposed to too.  Assuming this wintery-mix weather doesn't roll in by lunch time, I'll get them out for a walk then when it is a little warmer.  I've gotten the impression that Lucy doesn't like the cold so I didn't want to take her out this morning when it was pretty cold!  (I do see her sweater, I will put that on her.)

PJ - PJ was sleeping in the living room this morning.  He wasn't really "talking" to me this morning but he sure did yesterday when I came in.  I fed him and scooped his box this morning.

Laura's camera works:

Spanky loved Lauras attention!

Ramba thinks that Laura smells good!

Spanky & Ramba - here is her note from yesterday's visit:

I had a great first visit with Spanky and Ramba this afternoon. They both gave me such a warm welcome! Spanky couldn't get enough of me rubbing her and Ramba couldn't get enough of rubbing up on me. After feeding them, refilling water bowls and scooping the litterbox I tried to snap a few pictures. The pictures didn't quite come out as planned because Spanky was being very camera shy (I only got one quick picture of her cute face) and Ramba wouldn't stand still as you can see in the picture - she kept circling me and rubbing up against my legs. They are two very precious kitties (who also love their treats!).
