the pet sitter on Easter Sunday 4/24

Hadley & Ollie - the boys spent yesterday afternoon outside and then I left them in after I fed them dinner.  This morning I threw the ball for Ollie (some more!) and Hadley chased after it a few times too.

Lucky, Rocky, Mattie and Cotton - They'll be very happy to see you although I think Lucky is going to miss getting to chase sticks 4x / day.  :)  That's what she wanted to do every visit so we did!!

Sadie - I think the benadryl is making Sadie thirsty.  She came out of her crate this morning and drank all of the water in her bowl.   We went for a walk and then we came back in and I fed her breakfast.  She did have a coughing episode on the walk so once she stopped, I turned her around and we headed for home.  Bless her heart.  She still wanted to eat grass... I didn't let her though.

Nas - no Nas sighting this morning.  It was early.  Perhaps he was sleeping in or perhaps he was attending Sunday Sunrise Service. :)

the pet sitter on Saturday 4/23

Sweetie - She got so excited last night when I came in.  I just love how her whole body wiggles.  She went out and peed last night and this morning.  I fed her and put a fish oil pill in her food too. Lucky, Rocky, Cotton and Mattie - the dogs and I have the routine down.  We go outside, I bring them in to feed them, then we go back outside and I toss a few sticks for Lucky to chase.  It was still misting this morning.  The rain seems to have made the leaves stick even more to their fur..... trying to keep the leaves outside has become a challenge! :)

Sadie -Sadie and I have had a couple of nice, long walks.  It was misting last night and this morning.... made my walk into the house down the "slip and slide" driveway interesting!  I started cutting through the grass!  You weren't kidding about the pile.  LOL!

Lo & Sprinkles -Lo was a little shy today with Shannon but Sprinkles wasn't.  Shannon said she'd seen lots of other cats today and Sprinkles thought she smelled good!  They enjoyed their meal time and spending some time on the deck too.

Tiger Lily - I couldn't find her when I got there today so I refilled her food and scooped her box.  She hadn't eaten her medicine (although I could tell she'd eaten some food.)  Since she hadn't taken her medicine, I figured I'd better look for her.  I called her, walked upstairs, came back down and finally I saw her on top of the really tall cabinet in the living room.  I coaxed her down, picked her up and gave her the medicine.  I think some of it ended up on her fur on her cheek this time but she was really licking her lips too so I know I got some of it in.

Hadley & Ollie - I like Ollie's haircut.  They both look so clean, I hated to let them outside. :)  I threw the tennis ball for Ollie while Hadley sniffed around the yard.  All is well.

Baby & Callie - As I was getting ready to leave today, Baby reached up and used the tennis racket like a scratching post.  It was pretty funny!!

Nas - I'm guessing Nas is glad the sun has come back out.  He was basking in it today.

Dusty - look at who I found yesterday sleeping on the couch.  Cute Dusty!

Mattie, Cotton, Rocky & Lucky - Today it is raining.... our first day of rain.  It only sprinkled on the morning visit and the trees kept us dry.

Baby & Callie - they are both happy to see me when I come in b/c they know it is time to eat!  They've been eating all their food but Callie hasn't been drinking as much water as last time I saw them.  I've been keeping the water bowls full too and scooping their box!

Lo & Sprinkles - it is rainy and a little chilly today but we still hung out on the deck.  Both cats were really funny... stalking the squirrels!  They do love it out there.  I liked it too!

Sadie - Sadie and I took a walk through the neighborhood and she peed a couple of times and she pooped too (of course!)  She hadn't eaten all of her breakfast but she did take a few bites while I was there.  I'll be sure and give her the benedryl tonight.  She did that "coughing/choking" sound when I came in.  Her whole body was trembling bless her heart.

Tiger Lily - she was sleeping in the chair in the living room when I came in.  She greeted me and I loved on her.  I went down to clean out her box and when I came back upstairs she'd disappeared.  I left one of her pills on her food.

Nas - Nas didn't greet me when I drove up yesterday but he came around as I was leaving.  I'm guessing he knew there was food out for him!  I didn't see the boyfriend!

Lucky, Rocky, Cotton and Mattie - they are all doing well.  Cotton and Mattie are funny... they both love meal time!  As soon as I feed them, their heads are down in their bowls!  Lucky has been eating well although Rocky has been a little pickier.  He picks up a piece of food, carries it in the den and eats it there.  He also seems to spit out some of the pieces.... perhaps he likes certain pieces more then others.

I am updating the blog at 8am.  I may not be able to update it again until Thursday so if you don't see your pet posted, rest assured they are being seen per our agreement.  Always feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Lucky, Rocky, Mattie and Cotton - the dogs were waiting for me at the door this morning.  We went outside for a quick potty break, I fed everyone breakfast and then the dogs and I went back outside.  I've been following this routine on all of the short visits so that the dogs get a 2 chances to take care of all of their business.  No accidents in the house :) although one of the kitties did cough up a furball (that's what it looked like anyway.)  It was on the floor in the sunroom - very easy to clean up which I thanked them for!! :)

Magnus - Magnus' mom sent me this picture of him enjoying the sunshine.  I have several doggie clients that like to work on their suntans!!

the pet sitter on Tues 4/19

Nas - I got to see 2 kitties when I pulled up today!  Nas hung around me and sniffed around his bowl when I put his food out but he didn't eat anything.  The kitty ran off and laid under the tree.  Probably waiting for me to leave and then he'll eat too.

Baby & Callie - Baby met me downstairs but followed me upstairs step for step.  I rubbed on her head a little bit and she ate it up!  I fed them both and scooped their box too.

Mattie, Cotton, Lucky & Rocky - Lucky makes me laugh.  Actually Rocky does too.  Lucky LOVES playing with sticks so I'll toss them and she'll try to find them.  She's maybe 50/50 on finding them. :)  Rocky makes me laugh when he runs towards me and all his hair is blowing back.  I found Lucky sleeping under your bed today when I went in for the dinner visit.  That was a first.  She's usually at the backdoor.

Lucy - I got to see her 2x today so we played in the backyard some and of course, I snapped some pictures.  She had fun playing with her frisbee but she preferred "catch it" after it hit the ground!  LOL!!
