Cinnamon & Nutmeg: Shannon's note: Cinnamon and Nutmeg were great today! They were very affectionate and got lots of love :-)we played with the feather wand...I think Nutmeg likes the string better! All is well!
Sox - Sox ate almost his whole first serving of food while I was there today. His water bowl was empty too. I think I might've figured out why too during the visit. He put his paw in his water bowl a couple of times and spilled it over the sides. I'm not sure why he was doing that! Silly kitty!! I gave him his 2nd scoop of food before I left.
Max & Genny -Max and Genny must know that its Christmas day! Really wired this morning! We did our normal routine...but with MUCH MORE ENTHUSIASM! Hilarious really. I wondered if they might be hearing kids, in other houses, screaming at their first sight of the santa gifts or something! Maxs foot is healing...cone and ribbon are a hit!

Woolie - She wanted to go outside this morning before she ate. She took care of all of her business and then she was ready to come in and eat. Last night she walked outside the neighborhood. That was the first time she has wanted to walk in awhile! Yea Woolie!! Sox - He was sleeping upstairs when I came in this morning. He has been eating well. His food dish has been empty each time I've gone in so he's been happy to see me and get his breakfast. I've been feeding him right when I get there and then again just before I leave. He still hasn't wanted to play at all. I've been trying but no luck.
Cinnamon & Nutmeg - here is Shannon's note: Great first visit with Cinnamon and Nutmeg! They were very affectionate and got "lotsa" love!
Max and Genny - Shannon's note: Poor Max! He's dealing with the cone, but keeps hoping it'll shake off...he's dedicated tho! He's taking his pills just fine as well. Genny has been eating all of her food as soon as I put it down, too :-) I just encourage her a lil...all is well here!

Sox - He must've been sleeping when I came in today. He got up though and I fed him. I think he couldn't decide if he wanted to eat or if he wanted my attention. I'm taking it easy on the "giving him attention" front. He tried to bite me today.... luckily he just got my shoe! :) I brushed him a little bit too. I know he misses you and he wants to be around people. I just can't quite figure out how he wants me to show my affection towards him.
Woolie - She is doing just fine. She is eating well and taking care of all of her business outside.

Shadow needs a new home - ADOPTED!!!
***UPDATE: Within 24 hours, Shadow has a new home. She is being adopted by a client of mine's friends who have a jack russell terrier so Shadow will have another dog to play with everyday. As another client of mine said when she heard the news: "there is a Santa Claus!"
Thanks to everyone who helped this dog, tried to help, said a doggie prayer and sent good thoughts her way. You are all amazing! ***
6 month old Shadow was brought home from Animal Control by this family’s son just before her time ran out. Shadow is housebroken, can go all night without having to go outside, and she knows how to sit and shake. Everyone who meets her loves her and says what a good dog she is. She is a typical puppy with moments of high energy and playfulness but she will also calmly lie down beside you. She would probably do best with a family with a fenced yard so she can run around. She loves other dogs so she could be a good addition to a family looking for a 2nd dog. Unfortunately, this family’s poodle doesn’t love Shadow’s playfulness so they are trying to find her another home.
I believe she has been spayed.
Can you or do you know someone that can help Shadow find her forever home so she doesn’t have to go back to Animal Control? They are looking to make a decision on what to do with her in the next few days.

Genny & Max - here is Shannon's note: I love it when Genny sits like this! Max took his cone off again last night... :-( I got a good look at his leg in the morning light...glad he's on meds and on the mend! Ouchie! He took his pills and all was well with them :-)
Sox - Sox was at the door meowing when I came in this morning. I think he was happy to see me... his food bowl was empty and he ate right when I fed him so I know he was happy about that. He rubbed up against my legs a lot too but he didn't really want to play today. I cleaned out his box and gave him fresh water too.
