Salem was already ready for bed when I went up last night!

Steele, Zoe and Salem - They are all great.  Everyone slept well and the dogs LOVED their walk this morning.  I took them out together and I knew that Steele would be ready to walk but so was Zoe.  I think she pulled more than Steele!  They calmed down once we were headed back towards the house.  Both peed a couple of times, both pooped too.  Zoe twice!  I fed them all too.

the pet sitter on Sunday 7/7

Butter, Lucky and Sweet Pea - crazy dogs wanted to eat breakfast before they walked this morning so they did.  We had a nice leisurely stroll after that.  Both peed and pooped.  Butter is eating well too. Sweetie - She peed on our walk this morning and I fed her breakfast before I left.  She'll be really happy to see you!

Maisy and Gracie - they hung out in the yard and on the deck the whole visit.   They'd eaten their dinner from last night but didn't eat their breakfast yet.

Speedy and the turtles - they are all doing well.

Steele, Zoe and Salem - I won't post a note about them until in the morning.  I usually update the blog once / day, usually after I get home from my early am visits.

the pet sitter on Saturday 7/6

taken at night so its dark but Sadie is so cute, I had to post! Henry was really sniffing this chair. He even licked it but based upon his reaction after doing that, I dont think he liked it! LOL!

Sadie and Henry -  There were more fireworks last night so I stayed outside with Sadie.  She peed but then was ready to come inside.  Bless her heart, this morning she pooped right away.  She peed too.  I fed her, Henry (he still had some food in his bowl but he'd eaten a lot of it), Goldie and Oreo.  Sadie was with me when I was feeding Oreo.  Oreo probably wasn't very happy about that.

Chester just chillin by the pool. It was hot outside yesterday afternoon for an old dog so we didnt stay out too long.

Bailey wishing I would just throw the ball, Chester is probably ready to go in the house and the a/c.

Chester & Bailey - They are both just fine.  They both had full bowls of water when I got there this morning.  I took them for a walk and fed them breakfast.  Chester got his pill.

Butter, Lucky and Sweet Pea - there were more fireworks last night so they didn't want to walk.  They both peed but then wanted to go back to the house.  This morning they peed and pooped.

Gracie and Maisy - I let them out this morning so Gracie could pee and then they both came in and ate all of their breakfast and then went back outside for the rest of the visit.

Sweetie - I walked her this morning but wasn't quite sure she'd done all of her business so after I checked on all of the other dogs this morning, I ran back by your house and let her out in the yard.

Speedy - I will see him a little later this morning.

the pet sitter on Friday 7/5

Happy to be past July 4th as are all the dogs! Sparky - She gobbled down her breakfast and then she headed outside.  I'm not sure that she peed last night when I went back to let her out so I got there really early this morning.  It was still dark.  She was staring at me as I drove away.  I hope your neighbor stops in to see her today and I know she'll be happy to see you tonight!

Butter, Sweet Pea and Lucky - I gave them their "chill pills" at the dinner visit.  There were fireworks going off already and I swear they lasted until after 11pm.  When I was there after 9pm there were really a lot going off.  They both peed but they didn't want to be outside.

Sweetie - She seemed okay with the fireworks.  Not as many going off around your house as some of the other neighborhoods I was in (or at least while I was at your house.)  I did leave the tv on for Sweetie.

Gracie and Maisy - there were some fireworks going off last night but they didn't seem to mind too much.  They both hung out in the yard for awhile.  I fed them dinner but neither one at though.  This morning all of their food was gone from last night.  I fed them breakfast too.

Sadie and Henry - Henry stayed in last night but he went out this morning.  I went outside with Sadie 2x last night and she did pee and poop and then was ready to come in.  2 houses down from you there was a man setting off a bunch of fireworks.  It looked like he was having a one man celebration of his own.

Speedy, the turtles and the frog - the frog got some breakfast this morning too!

July 4th - a pet sitter's least favorite holiday

I like July 4th, I really do.  I like the fireworks.  However working on July 4th makes me not like it because it is so hard on the dogs.  It seems like this year there were lots of neighborhood fireworks, more than usual and they started earlier in the day (2-ish) and ended later than ever.  I went to bed around 11pm and heard them after that.  Driving after dark on July 4th is like driving Halloween night although last night there were as many dads out as kids.  All standing in the middle of the road, their fireworks lined up (also in the middle of the road.)  Me knowing that just a few houses down I have dogs that need to be walked so they can pee and hopefully poop (that did not happen.)  Like the Band Perry Song where she says UGH with frustration, that was me. Thus my rant ends :) -  I am glad that we are past July 4th.

Speedy getting ready to enjoy his breakfast. These turtles are very social. All 3 swim up to the top when I walk in the room. Even when Ive fed them they still act like theyre coming over to say vs coming up to eat. Thats what it seems like anyway!

Speedy and the turtles -they are all doing just fine!  I just looked at Speedy's picture and that pile of hay looks huge.  It is the angle... it really isn't THAT big. :)

Chester & Bailey - We've been taking a short "stroll" so they can pee / poop.  Bailey would like to pick up the pace but we're taking it slow for Chester.  By the time I'd gotten to your house this morning, I'd run out of coffee.  Must find a bigger coffee mug!

Gracie had finished her business outside and was just waiting for Maisy to do the same. Maisy did too!

Maisy and Gracie - Southpark fireworks last night and Gracie didn't want me to leave.  I hated it for her.  I tried to get the tv to turn on but I couldn't get it to come on.  Looked for a radio too but didn't see one.  She was fine this morning though.  I gave her some extra lovin!

Lucky, Sweet Pea and Butter - They are doing well.  I was at your house when the fireworks went off last night and they were both fine.  I thought the fireworks were going to be canceled b/c of weather so I didn't give them any medication.  They were just fine too. :)  I was glad b/c when the skies cleared, I worried about them.

Henry and Sadie - they are both just fine.  Sadie the little trickster trying to get me to feed her more. :)  Henry snuck out the front door as I leaving late last night.  I tried to get him and he took off.  He was laying by the house this morning but didn't come back in until he came in with Sadie.  Crazy cat!!  I was worried about him being out all night.  I will be more careful leaving at night to make sure he stays inside.  He was inside when I left this morning.

Sweetie- When I got there last night and opened the sliding door to go out back, she would not go in the back yard.  It was weird.  She acted like she was in trouble.  I leashed her up and walked her both visits.  I am perplexed.

Baby - I think I woke her up this morning.  She eventually appeared but she must've been sleeping!
