dog walking and cat sitting on Thurs 6/17

Alex looks wide-awake! I think George is sleeping sitting up!

George & Alex - The pictures say it all......

She so sweet and has the most beautiful green eyes!

Tiger Lily - I wasn't as successful today getting the medicine in.  I think she got some... she was licking again right afterwards but I know some ended up on the floor.  The bedspread on the bed is definitely going to need a bath when you get home.  It is very furry!!

Allie & Tilly - I threw the ball for Allie although Tilly seemed to run after it more than Allie.  Perhaps Tilly is part retriever??  :)

pet sitting on Wed 6/16

Cutie-pie and sweetie-pie Brutus! Brutus - Brutus was standing on the back of the love seat when I walked in.  He jumped down, grabbed his stuffed dog and paraded around with it in his mouth.  It was pretty cute!  We went for a walk and he peed and pooped and as I was taking his leash off, I got a couple of kisses!

Tiger Lily is stretched out on the bed.... I think she still wanted me to pet her!

Tiger Lily - I really got the medicine in her mouth today.  She was shaking her head, bless her heart not happy at all.  I really pet her after that to make it up to her.  I think she forgave me.  She certainly seemed to like the petting!

Allie & Tilly - Tilly the cat peeled up to the back door today as I was letting Allie make her pps in the back garden!  I guess Tilly was ready for the AC and some lovin'!  Allie sniffed around, and then her daily ritual, 3 times a day really, twisting in the warm green grass!  Shes loving summertime!

Steve - Steve and I walked halfway around the circle.  He sat and watched one of your neighbors come out of his house and then he watched a couple of guys working next door.  No one said hi to him though.... seriously, how can you resist him???  I don't get it!!

pet sitting on Tues 6/15

It was a bad day for a squirrel this morning.  Sorry Mr. Squirrel on Archdale Drive.  RIP. It was a very busy day for See Spot Run today:

Tiger Lilly - She was really talking today and as I left she followed me to the door.  I think she wanted out!  She'd eaten quite a bit yesterday so I refilled her bowl and I gave her fresh water too.  Not so much to clean out of her box today though.  I did give her the medicine again although today some of it ended up on her fur just outside of her mouth.  :(

Misty - Misty has been getting 3 walks / day by See Spot Run for the past 3 weeks.  She is recovering from ACL surgery and her vet recommended that she have 3 walks per day.  Our walks ended today as her vet gave her clearance to walk off-leash.  Good for Misty!

What do you think Lucy is saying? Im guessing give me the treat that is in your hand!!

Lucy - Lucy didn't seem to mind the heat too much this morning.  I did arrive a little early to try to beat the heat.  We walked around the neighborhood and she peed and pooped too.  When we got back to the house, she was looking around for her kong.  I said, "go find it" and she did!  I put treats in too!

Casper is sacked out after our walk outside.

Casper - Casper has been great all day.  We've spent some time outside but more time hanging out inside in the a/c!

Brady & Ferguson - some of my most photogenic clients!

Brady & Ferguson - Fergie sat in the sun until he was panting.  I had tried calling him over to me (I was in the shade) but he seemed happy where he was.  Funny guy!

17 year old Max has a very sleepy face!

Max - Max got up pretty easily today to go outside and pee.

Miss Cleo was making me laugh when she pounced on her tennis ball!

Cleo - Cleo wanted to lay in the sunshine.  She did not want to get up!  Tomorrow I'm tying several leashes together so she can lay in the sun and I can wait for her in the shade!

Steve spent time inside the house and outside in the yard rolling around on his back.

Steve - We hung out in the backyard 2x during our visit.  We'd go out, get hot so we'd come back and then we went back out again before I left.  He peed but didn't poop today.

cat sitting on Monday 6/14

Tiger Lily - She is doing just fine but I think she misses you.  She was really talking again today and bless her heart, mid-meow I got the medicine in.  I felt badly..... she wasn't expecting it but it worked!  She'd eaten some more so I gave her a little more food, fresh water and I cleaned out her box.

cat sitting on Sunday 6/13

Another photo of Tiger Lily, post medicine. I got it in again!! :) Is she part mountain lion?? Im not certain if I caught her mid-yawn or mid-meow but I thought this picture was so funny... I had to post it.

Tiger Lily - I took a book today, thinking I'd hang out with Tiger Lily and read just to keep her company.  I definitely kept her company but she wanted me petting her and at times I thought she wanted to read my book too.  She was rubbing her head on the corner of the book.  So much for my reading but she got a lot of petting!  I of course cleaned out her box, gave her fresh water and I gave her a little more food too today.  She has definitely been eating as evidenced by the food on the floor!

Pet sitting on Saturday 6/12

Even after giving her the medicine she needs, Tiger Lilly still would come up to me. I think her desire for attention outweighed her dislike of the medicine! Tiger Lily - She greeted me as soon as I opened the door and she was really talking to me too.  Truth be told, I think she was asking me to open the door so she could get out. I pet her and gave her lots of attention and then I grabbed the syringe.  I thought she might take off as soon as she saw it or smelled it but she didn't.  However as soon as I tried to give it to her, she backed away.  I tried a few more times and then she'd had enough.  She ran under the bed.  I didn't want to scare her (by lifting up the bed) so I thought I'd leave the room for a few minutes and see if she'd come out when I came back in.  That worked!  I pet her some more and instead of trying to grab the back of her neck, as I was petting her and she was rubbing up against the wall, I stuck it in her mouth.  She didn't like it at all but I got it in.  I'm sure I did by the way she was "licking" afterwards.  Then she ran back under the bed.  I got her to come out and that's when I snapped the picture.  I would say our first visit and getting the medicine in her was a success!!  Yea!!
