pet sitting on Mon 7/5

Maisy & Gracie - Maisy and I have definitely turned a corner and I'm so excited.  She comes right up to me, she let me pet her for a long time too.  She just sat down and let me rub on her neck.  When I stopped she looked at me, "why'd you stop?"  We played a little bit on the deck and then she and Gracie played some too.  I can't tell you how excited I am! Scoobie - Scoobie is adjusting to me too.  I think he's excited to see me when I come in.  He doesn't shy away from me like he did.  Sometimes getting the leash on him can take a few minutes still.  He is eating well too but he obviously like his wet food better than the dry.  I try to mix it up really well. :)

Jackson - Jackson ate all of his food last night.  Earlier yesterday, it seemed like most of it was on the rug but now this morning, he'd eaten all of it.  I guess he was hungry!!  Perhaps with all that running around the yard he worked up an appetite.

Chester and  Bailey - Poor Chester.  He didn't like the fireworks last night.  I did get him outside to pee but then he was immediately ready to come in the house.  I could tell he was scared.  Bailey peed too but she came inside with us when we went!  I almost turned the tv on to try and drown out the noise but I didn't.

Hanna - I threw her toy for her a few times last night but after a few firecrackers were set off she was ready to come inside.  I sat down in the chair and she hopped up there with me.  I read for awhile to keep her company.

Chipper - Chipper didn't seem bothered by the fireworks at all!  Funny how some dogs are and some aren't.  Most of my doggie clients wanted to be inside it seemed like.

Jay & Chloe - I threw the ball for Jay then I fed them both.

pet sitting on July 4th, 2010

See note from yesterday on pictures on the blog... or lack of pictures on the blog.  I'm ticked too b/c I could have some really cute ones and one really interesting one... read Jackson below:  (also, I'm most likely only going to post once / day.) Hanna - She was barking as I walked up this morning.  I grabbed her barbell and went outside to throw it for her.  I watered your plants and I fed the inside and outside fish too!

Chester & Bailey - Laura is seeing them this morning and she did last night too.  I will see them at lunch time :)

Chipper - Chipper greeted me with a couple of barks this morning but then then of course she was wagging his tail.  He'd eaten most of his food from last night.... he seems to leave several of the large pieces of food but eats everything else like the peas.  He definitely likes the peas!

Maisey & Gracie - Maisey is doing so much better with me already and it is only day 2!  She barked at me this morning when I came in but she didn't run away.  Outside she laid down and just hung out for awhile and Gracie did more sniffing.

Jackson - When I pulled up to your house last night (9pm-ish), there was an owl... a live owl.... on the bannister just outside your front door.  Good thing I don't go in and out the front door b/c I wasn't going anywhere near that owl.  I of course took it's picture (and then remembered I can't post it) and it hissed at me.  It kind of freaked me out! :)  Needless to say, I didn't get your mail last night either but I did grab it this morning.  Jackson did lots of sniffing last night and this morning!  He ate most of his food from last night too.

Scoobie - Scoobie and I had a nice long walk this morning.  He took care of all of his business and he enjoyed doing lots of sniffing.  I think he was ready for his breakfast.  He laid down on his bed while I made it and didn't try to shy away from me.  He seems to be doing better with me each day and overall I think he is doing just fine!

Baby & Callie - will be seen shortly....

pet sitting on Saturday July 3rd

Blog post updates:  something has happened and I can't post pictures on my blog... ugh!!  I'll eventually have time to figure out what the problem is but today isn't that day!  So, sorry no cute pix of your boys and girls.  I am only posting once / day, so if I'm seeing your pet multiple times a day, please be assured that I am following the schedule we confirmed.  Here we go.... :) Chipper - omg, what a sweetie pie.  I let him outside this afternoon and he worked on his tan.  He walked right out onto the deck and just laid down in the sun.

Scoobie - Scoobie is acting timid like you told me he would be he is doing just fine.  I'm really patient with him.... when I first get there he doesn't want to let me near him to put the leash on so we've been hanging out for awhile in the house before we go outside.  Once I get the leash on, he does great on the walks.  I think he has pooped and peed every visit!

Baby & Callie - Baby came really far down the stairs to greet me today.... I don't think she gets it that Puddin' isn't home. :)  They're both doing just fine and eating well.  Their food bowls are always empty when I come in and they've obviously been busy in their litter box.... lots to scoop and some to vacuum up too!

Chester & Bailey - Laura came with me on the noon visit so she's all set to help.  Bailey was crazy...... she jumped up on both of us a couple of times.  After a firm "no" she stopped... but I don't think she's ever done that before.  Chester was a love bug of course.  He pooped on the walk... of course. :)

Lo & Sprinkles - they both greeted me at the door.  I fed them and Sprinkles at a little bit and then went to lay down.  Lo ate almost the entire time I was there!

Gracie & Maisy - they were very good watch dogs.  They really barked when I came in but then they both backed off when they saw it was me.  I think they were expecting you!  I walked downstairs and once I approached the back door, they both came down.  Their desire to go outside outweighed any apprehension they had.  :)  Maisy went outside peed and then she laid down in the sun.  Gracie did a bunch of sniffing.

Spaulding - she was really excited to see me... she did a cute little dance for me.  We had a nice walk and she did lots of sniffing.  When I got ready to leave, I grabbed a treat and she went right into her crate.

to be continued tomorrow!  Have a safe and happy 4th everyone!

dog walking on Friday 6/2

cutie-pie Maggie Maggie - I am not Maggie's regular dog walker, one of my colleagues is but I got to walk her today.  She is precious!!  She did just great on the least - her training is really paying off!  She is my only Labradoodle client :)

Ollie - he is such a cutie!  He barked up a storm when I came in but about wiggled out of his skin saying hi to me when I let him out of his crate.  We went for a nice long walk.  He got a little scared of some dogs that were barking but I just ignored them and we kept going.

Callie & Baby - they've been just fine both days.  Baby has greeted me both days on the stairs but she seems to disappear (I think underneath your bed) while I'm feeding them and cleaning out the litter box.  She has definitely been up on your bed.... her shedding if evidence of that!

Mickey is chillin out after our walk!

Mickey - Mickey and I had 2 nice walks today.  One was really long (it was so much nicer outside today... it seemed even cooler than yesterday.)

Dog and Cat Sitting on Wed 6/30

pretty girl Bailey Chester is resting after the walk!

Chester & Bailey - I'm always thinking that I need to get to your house first thing in the morning to let Bailey out so she can pee.  She is always more interested in finding her tennis ball and Chester is ready to go out and pee!  We walked around the park this morning (I ducked under the tree limb today!)  2nd visit:  we walked around the park again.  Chester pooped (they both pooped this morning) and Bailey tried to scarf a banana peel... she dropped it when I asked her to.

Easter is always a happy girl!

Easter & Homer - I left them outside again this morning.  It is supposed to be cooler today although they are calling for thunderstorms.... I'll pay attention to the weather.  It was sprinkling but not stormy this morning.

Lucy - She was all wiggly when she came out of her crate today.  She is definitely feeling better!  We had a nice long walk to and she walked!

dog walking on Tues 6/29

Homer has such a sweet face! Homer & Easter - I spent some extra time with them last night.... actually a tv show I like was on so I gave them bones to eat and I got to watch the tail end of my show.  I think they enjoyed spending some time in the den.  This morning it is less humid out so I left them outside.  I will be by close by your house lunch-time-ish so I'll stop by and put them inside then.  Lunch time:  I let them inside.

Bailey is being very sweet to just sit here while I take her picture. She really was waiting for me to throw her ball!

Chester is stretched out on the tile after our walk this morning.

Chester & Bailey - Chester did a little dance for me this morning.  He'd peed outside in the yard and I think he was doing the dance hoping that breakfast was coming next.  I fed them and then we went for a nice walk around the park.  It felt much better outside this morning than it has in several days!  Although I need to pay attention to where I'm walking instead of just watching the dogs.  I didn't duck and hit my head on a low hanging branch.... I'm not even that tall!  LOL

Quigley & Jackson - They had a major wrestling match in the backyard when I let them out right when I got there.  I was sure to stay out of the way!  We went for a walk and it seemed to go better.  Different collars would make it easier.  They of course, snarfed their dinner down too!
