Traditional Chinese Medicine for Dogs

Buddy has arthritis in his left hip and left knee. He lays like this often..... ouch. It just doesnt look normal. Yesterday Buddy and I went to Atrium Animal Hospital and I was shown how to do Tui-Na techniques on him to help alleviate any pain he has because of arthritis.  I loved it and I think Buddy did too.  We are hoping that this daily massage will eliminate the need for Buddy to be on any type of pain medication.  I will keep you posted on how he is doing and if anyone wants any information about it, please let me know.

Look who has the tennis ball! Ollie wishes I would put the camera down and just throw his tennis ball!

Hadley & Ollie - They're so funny.  Ollie is crazy about the tennis ball.  I tried to get a picture of him this morning as he was trying to climb up a bush b/c he thought the tennis ball was in it but he was right in the middle of it and all you could see in the picture was the bush, not Ollie.  Hadley has still been really affectionate.  I rubbed on him this morning as he sat beside me while we were waiting for Ollie to come back with the ball so I could throw it.

Casper - relaxing after his walk.

Hadley & Ollie - I did the late night visit last night and Ollie couldn't find his ball.  He was running all around the yard looking for it.  I thought he'd brought it in the house during the dinner visit, but he was looking outside.  He finally found it... thank goodness b/c he was really searching for it!  For the first time, I couldn't get Hadley in last night.  After a 2nd try with the milkbones, I got him in.  They stayed outside a good part of yesterday.  I think the temps were around 70.  It was beautiful.

Hadley & Ollie - The boys slept well last night.  I got to your house around 7:30pm so I could watch the Grammys.  I threw the ball some for Ollie and Hadley just hung outside some more.  The weather here has been beautiful so they've been outside for 4-5 hours / day in the afternoon.  No rain either so their paws and the floors aren't too bad. :)  We left the tennis ball outside last night and I think that worked well.  Ollie wasn't obsessing over it all night.  Silly boy!

Hadley and what I think is a fox. Laura was laughing: she said Hadley stole Ollies tennis ball and then rolled over like he was playing dead. She felt bad for Ollie.

Hadley & Ollie - They were just fine this morning.  No accidents in the house although since you've been gone, Laura has found 2 poopy accidents which she assumes in Mr Oliver.  I threw the tennis ball for Ollie this morning and while we were doing that Hadley peed and pooped.  I never know if Ollie pees or poops b/c he runs around so much, I loose sight of him.  I'm thinking he is so fixated on the tennis ball that sometimes he doesn't pee or poop.  After we played, I brought them in and fed them breakfast.  Since Ollie finished first, I grabbed his leash and took him for a short walk while Hadley finished eating.  He pooped right away (success!) and he peed too.  Crazy dog!  He was very excited to be out... he was pulling a lot.

Sparky - Sparky was laying on the front porch last night when I pulled up.  She went zooming around the house and then she found her big bone!  She brought it in the house and then she was ready for dinner.  This morning I fed her breakfast, she grabbed her bone and went outside.  It was cold but she seemed to want to be out so I left her outside.  I hope that was okay.
