Sunny, Louis & Lola - They're so funny and I've been impressed with Louis.    They always make me laugh and I can tell they LOVE their backyard.  I LOVE their backyard.  When I got there last night, I grabbed my book and we all stayed outside for awhile.  It was really hot and muggy yesterday so we didn't take a long walk at the dinner visit like I'd planned so I figured they'd enjoy being outside.  Sunny and Louis both laid on the furniture, Lola laid under it!  Louis ran out into the yard to bark a couple of times but I would call his name and he'd stop!  Impressive!! Jay and Chloe - argh... I forgot my camera this morning.  Jay heard me coming and was barking... I was rolling up the recycle bin.  She met me  at the door, came out and I grabbed her tennis ball.  She pooped right away, ran after  the ball a couple of times and then she peed and pooped again!  I tossed the ball for her some more.  I fed them both, gave them fresh water and scooped Chloe's box.

Sib - Sib ate all of his dinner from last night and he drank a good bit of his water too.  He has some food still in his outside feeder and I'm sure it'll dump again this morning.  I gave him fresh water too.

Lincoln - Shannon's am note:  Lincoln had a great morning visit, full of all of the things we all would like to do each morning...if we were a doggie!  We played and walked, he ate breakfast and got lots of love too :O) P.S. He was so dutiful when I asked him to drop his ball before coming in the house for breakfast~ dropped it straight away and trotted inside!  Cracks me up!

My note after pm visit:  We had a thunderstorm early evening so when I went in last night, I found Lincoln in your son's bathroom.  He came out with a stuffed bear in his mouth which I'm guessing isn't his so I made him "drop it" before we went outside.  He seemed to be just fine once we got outside.  He sniffed around, peed and then was ready for dinner.  After I fed him, we went back out.  He was standing and staring at the gate so I grabbed his leash and took for a walk.  He was a really happy guy then.  He peed a few times and he pooped on the walk.

Lesson Learned #19

Have you ever tried blowing your nose while walking a dog?  Try it.  It's hard to do.  It requires 2 hands and with a leash in one hand, it's hard.  I'm just saying.  :)  One of the many things I've discovered as a dog walker!

Sib - Sib is doing just fine but I know he misses you.  He comes out and looks at me when I walk in and I think he's glad to see me but he kind of has that look like, "where's my mom?"  :)  We took a couple of short walks yesterday just through the front yard.  He seems to be eating okay although I'm not sure what is up with the feeder in the garage.  I went in last night and there was quite a bit of food in it!  I took some of it and gave it to Sib for his dinner in the house.  I gave him fresh water this morning before I left too. Lincoln - I love walking up and seeing his cute face in the back door.  Last night we went outside for a few minutes but after he peed and did just a little bit of sniffing, he headed for the house.  I figured he was ready for dinner and he was!  Afterwards, we went back outside.  The beagle was out next door.  They met at the fence and sniffed each other and then Lincoln lifted his leg.... LOL!  Typical boy!  (He didn't pee on the other dog, just near him thank goodness!)  He's doing well!  Shannon is doing all of the visits today so the post tomorrow morning won't be until after her morning round of visits.

Shannon's note from this morning:  Mr. Lincoln had a great morning today!  He had a little of everything...yard time, breakfast and walkies :-)  He's got a lot of energy today~ must've had a great and rejuvenating snooze!!  Plus that beauty sleep...he's just so handsome!

the dog walker on Tues 6/7

Lincoln - Lincoln is doing just great!  I went and saw him last night and I was laughing at him.  He was rolling around on his back on top of his tennis ball!  Is he giving himself a massage???  :)  He does love being outside.  I took him out, we played some and he did lots of sniffing and then I brought him him for his dinner.  I gave him his 2 pills too.  We went back outside after dinner and he sniffed around some more (and rolled around some more too.)  You guys have a great backyard for him!  I'll see him again tonight, Shannon is seeing him for the day time visits.  I'm sure she'll send me a note after her morning visit.  She mentioned yesterday that the walks are going great!  She is a fan of the new collar and she is a fan of Lincoln too.  She is loving spending time with him.  He is a cutie!  Here is Shannon's note from this morning:  Lincoln doing well today~ he's had a long walk, eaten breakfast and rolled around in the yard! He was kicking grass up on himself at the end of our visit~ had to laugh out loud!! He's getting lots of love and hugs too :-)

Sib - I went to see him early this morning (around 6:30am.)  It was nice outside so I figured he'd enjoy being outside while it was cooler.  Unfortunately it's not supposed to stay that way.  He is doing just fine.  I walked him around the front yard last night and he peed 2x.  There were a couple of dogs outside across the street that he really watched.  He acted like he wanted to go over and say hello (but we didn't. :) )  He'd eaten almost all of his dinner from last night too.

Sib - Sib had eaten all of his dinner from last night and he drank a good bit of his water too.  I went a little later last night.... I was waiting out a thunderstorm.  He had pooped on the kitchen floor.  I walked through the house but I didn't see any other accidents.  He peed 2x when we walked up and down the driveway.  I let him outside and gave him a bone before I left this morning. Lincoln - Shannon's note:  Lincoln is well this am!  He was a little scared of the storm last night, I found him coming out of the bathtub on his pm visit :-( I gave him a little massage after coming inside, then he felt up to eating dinner!  He seems back to normal this am~ no storms overnight :-)  I took him out back for pps before our walk.  **note - she sent me pictures to post.  I will have to download them tonight or tomorrow am and post them then but I at least wanted to get the note posted!
