Scooby - he is doing just fine.  We took our walks yesterday and again this morning.  It was nice last night on the last visit so we took a longer walk and then again this morning.  He'd eaten all of his dinner from last night too.  I fed him breakfast this morning and gave him fresh water... and a treat too. :) Chloe - She was in all day yesterday.  It only sprinkled around dinner time but I wasn't sure if it was going to rain or not.  We took a nice walk this morning and  she peed and sniffed a lot.  She pooped too.  She'd eaten all of her dinner from last night.  I gave her breakfast and fresh water outside.

Sib - He walked all the way to the end of the driveway today!  He peed and pooped.

Gaylord & Finnegan - Your neighbor on the corner was about to open the door and let her dogs out just as we were walking by.  I was very happy when she looked up and saw us and she waited. :)  I'm not sure if she has invisible fence but I didn't want to find out!  Gaylord only pooped once on the walk today!  haha!

Madison & Murphy - they both greeted me when I came in today.  I fed them and loved on Murphy while Madison finished eating.  I had to love on him... otherwise he was trying to eat her food too! :)  I scooped the box and grabbed your mail too.

Chester & Bailey - I saw them the first visit yesterday.  They were just great.  We took a short walk up and down the street so they could both pee.  Chester kind of stumbled down the driveway.  I think it was his back right leg but I'm not 100%.  We took it easy.  I let Shannon know too.  Shannon is doing the next several visits so I'll try to be good about posting her notes but if there aren't updates, I'll apologize now.  I haven't gotten an update for yet for this morning and I'm not sure if I'll post again or not today.  Typically I'm only posting once / day after my early morning round of visits.  Again, my apologies!  AND I forgot my camera yesterday.  I wanted to take some pictures to be able to post their cute faces.  Ugh!  And here is Shannon's note from this morning:  We've had a great morning visit! Chester and Bailey had a nice walk, full of sniffing and squirrel "admiring" ;-) all is well!

Lesson #21 Learned by this Pet Sitter

No two refrigerators are alike and I have a hard time refilling my water bottle using the water dispensers on them.  Some of them are just next to impossible to not make a mess.  I figured out which ones those are and I don't try anymore. :)  Most fridges are also stainless steel which streaks if it gets wet too.... not good.  :( Molly, Sookie and Sawyer's house is the easiest.  I am refilling it every time I am there!

dog walking on Saturday 8/6

Yesterday, it stormed from 10am - 5pm.  Hard rain most of the day, thunder and lightning.  I tried to squeeze my visits in when it wasn't raining so hard so that I could get the dogs outside to pee.  A few them would've preferred to stay inside!  A few of them did.... Gaylord! :)

Gaylord and Finnegan - yesterday midday, they weren't going out at all.  Gaylord walked around with his red ball in his mouth the whole time I was there.  I left after I realized they weren't going out but then I came back in about an hour when it had stopped thundering.  They both peed and Finny pooped too.  This morning we took our walk and they both peed and pooped.  Gaylord pooped twice... he is a pooping machine!  They're doing great but they told me to tell you that they miss you.

Fillmore - Fillmore didn't mind the rain yesterday.  There was a lull in the rain when we went for our walk and he got to see the mailman.  He got pretty excited about that but unfortunately b/c of all the rain, he didn't have any treats for Fillmore.  Fillmore liked the attention he got from him anyway!  We enjoyed our walk this morning too.  No rain :)

Ruby, Bubba and Cooper - Cooper is crazy about his tennis balls!  He has that same silly smile that  Spenser has too.  My camera batteries were dying when I took these pictures so unfortunately they're not clear.  Ruby and Bubba have been just great.  I need an extra hand though... or a 2nd person with me b/c they all want my attention!  Ruby kept poking her head out of her doggie door this morning.  She was giving me some pretty big hints that she wanted me to stop playing with the boys and feed her.  I played with the boys first this morning b/c I'm paranoid of bloat and Cooper running around on a full tummy.

Chloe - My pictures of Chloe didn't turn out.  She just wanted me to pet her so she wasn't sitting still and I'm not that good of a photographer. :)  We went for a walk last night.  It was sprinkling but she didn't seem to mind.  She seemed to not like being wet once we got back in the house though.  I toweled her off.  We had a great walk this morning.  I forgot that she likes to walk!  I appreciated the opportunity to really stretch my legs this morning.  Thank you Chloe!!

Sib -  I walked him down the driveway last night and he peed and pooped.  I gave him fresh water before I left.

Chester & Bailey - since I'm not seeing them til noon, I probably won't update the blog until tomorrow am.

Somehow I missed yesterday's blog post and this isn't going to be much of one.  Sorry!  All is well.  I have some cute pictures to download but I've not had time.  I will try to do it later today but most likely it won't happen until tomorrow.  Today's post: Gaylord, Finnegan, Fillmore, Rocky, Lucky, Mattie, Cotton, Cooper, Ruby and Bubba:  I think they're all cute and I love spending time with them.  More details tomorrow!!!  I promise (but it might not be til mid-afternoon.)  I have a CAPPS (Charlotte Area Professional Pet Sitters) meeting mid-morning which is when I usually update the blog.

Life is Good.  Busy but Good!

Gaylord and Finnegan - they were just fine yesterday and very excited to see me!  I came in this morning to a little bit of a mess on the dining room floor.  Someone had pooped and peed.  (I thought about contacting you yesterday and asking if you wanted me to do an extra visit since you were leaving so early but I didn't.  I should have!)  They are just fine though.  I took them each for a walk this morning.  (I took them separately.) Fillmore - We've been walking and running into people with very friendly dogs (and of course Fillmore is always happy to meet them.)  Last night we met a labradoodle and this morning a black lab.  Fillmore loved it.  He gets all excited!  He actually wanted to go into the couple's house last night with the labradoodle.  We were all laughing at him!

Rocky, Lucky, Mattie and Cotton -  it was a little less humid this morning so I threw the stick a good bit for Lucky.  Rocky was in "explore" mode and a couple of times he jumped through the fence but he came back when I called him.  I fed them all and scooped the litter box this morning.

Turkey Lurkey - I saw her Monday and I will again today.   Sorry I didn't mention her but I'm seeing her after I do my daily blog post.   She's been lounging on the deck chairs.  I've been wetting the hermit crab's sponges too.

Fillmore- It is supposed to be really hot later today and tomorrow so we took a long walk last night and this morning.  I'm afraid our walks through tomorrow may need to be shorter.  I don't want the big guy to overheat.  A couple of people came over and said hi to him yesterday on the walk which he loved!

Gaylord, Finnegan, Rocky, Lucky, Cotton and Mattie - I will see your pets shortly and will post about them tomorrow morning.
