Madison & Murphy - they both came running when I opened the door today. I loved on them and really got Madison's motor going. I fed them, gave them fresh water and scooped the box for Murph!
Genny, Max and Scottie - they're all doing just fine. Shannon saw them last night and I saw them this morning. Scottie ate his dinner outside last night with Shannon while the other 2 ate inside :) and I fed Scottie at first out of my hand this morning to get him to eat. He did! I put them in their crates before I left and Shannon will be there at lunch time to let them out.
Lesson #24 Learned by this Pet Sitter
I should have a spare flashlight in my car. This past weekend, I was really busy so I was out very early pet sitting. Needless to say, it was still dark. I used the flashlight as I was walking up to my first client's house and then I used it in their backyard. I thought I remembered laying it down on their kitchen table. On my way to my 2nd visit, I was digging for my flashlight in my large bag that I carry and I couldn't find it. This was not good. I REALLY wanted it on my next visit. As I was walking up to the house, I dropped my keys into the side pocket of my bag and guess what, there was the flashlight. I must be living right! It would be a good idea to have a 2nd flashlight in the car though. Must put that on the list of things to buy this weekend.
My work bag is so big and full of so much stuff, I should triple check it before assuming that what I'm looking for isn't in there.
pet sitting on Sunday 10/16
I'm not sure where all of you are but the weather here today is perfect! Lucky, Rocky, Maddie and Cotton - I think Lucky must've gotten bored today. When I went for the lunch visit, the cat scratching box was partially shredded. For some reason I thought it was salvageable and that the cats might still use it but when I went for the dinner visit, Lucky had shredded what was left. Part of it is now in your outside trash can and the other part in the trash under the sink. Other than that, all is well!
Zack, Sadie and Henry - I felt badly for Henry this afternoon b/c he couldn't go outside with us. It is so nice. We all enjoyed hanging out in the backyard. I should've knocked harder on wood the other day too: the great dane has been outside several visits. Sadie and he barked at each other yesterday but they've both been well behaved since. The dog's owner has always been out with him too. I did spend time playing with Henry today too. He is crazy!! and funny!! Zack is doing just fine too. I was loving on him today.
Lincoln got a nice belly rub during my afternoon visit. I was sitting on your deck and he was standing beside me. I was enjoying the weather. He was enjoying the belly rub!
Gracie, Louis, Edward and Holly - Louis managed to get himself covered in leaves today. They were stuck in his fur. We managed to get rid of most of them. Edward decided to stay outside after our midday visit but he's been coming in at night.
Hadley & Ollie - they stayed outside after the lunch visit. Hadley might need the cone... he is still licking his leg.

Zack, Sadie and Henry - I left you a note after my visit that goes like this: I'm not sure how you juggle 2 kids, 2 dogs and 1 cat. I was having issues trying to figure out how to open the back door, grab Zack's uneaten food before Sadie got to it and not have Henry scoot out the door. Sadie helped me. I grabbed Henry, opened the door and walked out (with Henry) and picked up Zack's food. Sadie waited at the door like a very good girl! I was impressed. Henry tried to escape out the door as I was coming inside with the dogs this morning. He is a sneaky one! Everyone is doing just fine. Zack didn't eat all of his dry food yesterday but I put it in the fridge, added his breakfast to it and zapped it in the microwave and he ate it all this morning.
Lucky, Rocky, Maddie and Cotton - It has been dark every visit so far so Lucky hasn't gotten to play much. She is ready though. There is a very large stick, actually more like a limb that she can't wait to play with!
Louis, Gracie, Edward and Holly - Given your warning about Gracie, I leashed them up and walked them around the backyard last night when I got there! I didn't want her staying outside all night. It worked. They both peed and she pooped. This morning it was dark so I just let them out back. She eventually came in when I called. :) The dogs both ate their dinner from last night, Edward ate most of his and I fed Holly this morning.
Hadley & Ollie - So far, no ill effects from the "bag of peanuts eating incident" from last night. I can't believe I didn't take a picture of it. There were shells everywhere!
Jackson - Jackson continued to snooze this morning when I came inside. I saw him sleeping in the sunroom but he just continued to snooze and finally I guess he decided it was time to wake up and go outside. I'm guessing he's snoozing again right now!
Roux and Gracie - they LOVE having the front door open. Gracie especially. Roux played some with me this morning but Gracie just stayed by the front door.
PJ - I've been rubbing his head each visit and his motor just goes. He might like that better than is food and that is saying a lot!
Lincoln - I won't post until Sunday am.

PJ - PJ's motor was really going this morning when I was petting him. I fed him and scooped his box too. Gracie and Roux - they were perfectly content to watch everything that was going on outside the front door early this morning. They sat there practically the whole visit.
