Hampton & Blitten - they are both doing just fine.  Blitten almost walked over to me last night.  I am guessing he is missing all of you and will be very happy when you are home.  I have loved all of my walks with Hampton - I've been getting my exercise!! :)

Hampton & Blitten - when I walked in this morning, Hampton was upstairs howling.  I think he must be lonely... ??  Blitten was sleeping his his raised bed and he actually stayed there for a few minutes before disappearing.  I fed them both, scooped the box and walked Hampton (not in that order!) Hawk and Turk - This morning, I tossed the ball just a few times, fed them and put fresh water for them outside.  Last night on the walk, I could tell they were both on the scent of something.  It was pretty dark (the light in your yard is out) and I didn't think too much about it.  On our way back from the walk, I see 2 deer in the front yard of the house directly across the street from yours.  Luckily I saw them before the dogs - they still had their noses pressed to the ground! :)  I had no choice but to keep going to get to your house so I just said "heel" repeatedly.  Turk spotted them and went on "alert."  He is so funny!  He listened well (I wasn't sure if he would try to pull me towards them.)  He didn't but I'm sure he would've loved nothing more than to go running off after them.  The deer did take off and we made it back to your house without incident.

Haley - she was really excited to see me.  We played a little bit in the yard, I fed her and she took care of all of her business.  I tried snapping her picture but her eyes kept glowing b/c it was dark outside.

Max and Genny - Genny has been a little slower to eat this time.  She did eat all of her dinner last night and this morning, she'd been eating off and on.  There was just a little bit of food in her bowl when I left.  Max woofed his down!

Sweet guy Hampton after our walk. Hampton & Blitten - Hampton seems to have calmed down.  He isn't panting anymore.  We've been taking nice walks.  He has been peeing (a lot - he is ALL boy :) ) and he's enjoying meal time too.  I've seen Blitten a couple of times too when I've come in the door.  He is eating well too!

This was Hawk greeting me when I drove up for the first visit!

Turk and Hawk - I have the system down.  Come in and throw the ball a few times to burn a little energy before taking them for a walk.  The picture of Hawk is blurry because both dogs were so excited they wouldn't stay still!  I tried getting a picture of Turk... wasn't happening. :)  They're both doing great and I'm having fun with them!

our Sam I Am

Not a great picture but this is what I would drive up and see. Sam. 11.10.1998 - 4.9.2013 On a bright, sunny, spring day, we said goodbye to our Sam.  It seemed fitting because Sam loved being outside.  Both Don and I know that it was the right decision but it is so hard.  I miss seeing his sweet, white face at the front door when I drive up.  He was always the happiest, laid back dog.  I miss that too.  And touching his velvet soft ears.  We love you Sam.  You will be in our hearts forever.  There are 2 dogs in heaven now that I love and miss dearly.

Lesson Learned #41

Recently I have realized a very surprising, happy lesson:  when my clients are having a baby, I am one of the first to be told.  Recently I've had 2 clients tell me that they're having a baby.  One told me early on in her pregnancy because she knew I would see cards and books in her house congratulating them but she wanted to make certain I kept the information under wraps until they were officially telling others.  I am honored and thrilled to learn this lesson! :)
