pet sitting on Thanksgiving 11/28

Happy Thanksgiving!  Here are a few random tidbits:  This is my 1,601st post on the See Spot Run blog.  In over 4 years of business, I've never had a client who last name starts with N. Bailey, Miss Photogenic!

Chester just got finished getting a belly rub. Hes a happy boy!

Chester & Bailey -  Chester was snoozing on his bed when I walked in this morning.  It was really early and at the end of the visit, Bailey ran to her crate thinking she needed to go back in.  I left her out. :)

Jays ever blurry tail b/c it is always wagging!

Jay and Chloe - So the McDonald's near us is open 24 hours.  I stopped and got a medium coffee after I left Chester and Bailey's house and was on my way to your house.  Most of it I am very sorry to say, ended up on your kitchen floor.  As I was getting ready to write your note, I hit it somehow and there it went.  I learned that Jay has no interest in coffee... I thought she might try to help me clean it up (which I didn't want her to do!)  The other thing I learned is that your paper towels are very absorbent.  So sorry about the mess but I believe I got it cleaned up pretty well.  Jay and Chloe are just fine too!

Sparky - I left her inside after our visit this morning b/c it is cold.  22 ish maybe?

Butter, Sweet Pea & Lucky - I will feed Sweet Pea a little more wet dog food for dinner to see if she'll eat a little bit better.  Lucky and Butter both enjoyed their breakfast!

Simba sporting his super cute sweater!

Simba - Simba had pooped in the bathroom when I got there this morning.  It was all normal so I've not seen any signs of his upset stomach.  He is enjoying his walks, even in these cold temps!

Chloe - I thought she might eat a little bit overnight but I don't think she did.  She ate a little bit yesterday during the day but not much.  She seems totally fine and is definitely enjoying her walks!

Baby, Scarlett & Olive, and Jasper - I am not seeing them today until mid-late morning so I won't post about them until tomorrow.

Any pets whose first visit is dinner or after today will be on the Friday blog b/c I wrote this before seeing them. :)

I normally update the blog after my breakfast visits but I didn't this morning so I'm updating it at 10pm.  Hence the dogs & cats that I saw later in the day are mentioned.   Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Sparky - she is great.  I've been adding on a few visits b/c the weather has been rainy and cold.  The rain finally stopped around 4pm and so she was out from then til I went tonight.  Today we got to see a lot of deer in the back yard by the creek.

Chloe- she is enjoying her walks.  I'd think with her short fur that she'd act cold but she doesn't.  Seems happy as a clam to be out walking!

Chester & Bailey - Bailey is funny.  She acts all excited to go out into the yard but if she thinks I'm not going out there with her, then she wants to come right back in.  I wanted to go and get your mail but she wanted me to stay outside with her.  So, while the dogs sniffed around the yard, I walked laps around the pool.  It was cold... I was trying to stay warm. :)

Simba - I LOVE his sweater and collar.  He looks all ready for Santa!  I fed him the rice and 3/4 scoop of food for dinner which he loved.  He pooped on our walk at dinner and it was soft but wasn't what I would consider diarrhea.

Butter, Sweet Pea and Lucky - all 3 were happy to see me.  Sweet Pea was buried underneath the blankets in her crate.  Both dogs peed 2x on the walk tonight.

Jay and Chloe - I tossed the ball a few times for Jay.  She was breathing hard (I think b/c it was so cold) but she didn't seem to care about the cold.  She just wanted to chase her ball!  Chloe just wanted me to pet her.

Jasper - I fed him and scooped his box.  I didn't see him though.

Scarlett and Oliver - your nanny had given them dry food and she had scooped the box.  She did have me feed them a can of food.  I fed the fish too.

Sparky... loves being outside even when its cold! Sparky - She is doing great and doesn't seem to be bothered by the cold temps at all.  I was worried about her yesterday but when I got there last night, her fur was a little cold but not bad and her tummy was warm.  I think she'd been snoozing on the back porch.

Sparky - she is great.  I did leave her in the house this morning and she seemed okay with that. :)  I will go over in a little bit and open the door so she can go zooming out! Snickers - she was a little shy about greeting me last night but a treat did the trick!  I fed her this morning and gave her some fresh water too.

a very happy Sunny... Im petting him under his chin! Ollie greeted me with a vertical leap right in my face and a kiss! Took me by surprise! :)

Fozzy, Ollie and Sunny - when I had my camera out yesterday, Fozzy was laying over in the corner of the yard in some leaves.  The rest of the time, it was too dark!  They are doing well.  Ollie and Sunny have been playing (sometimes really hard and they get rather vocal).  They've all been chasing stuff around the yard too.  Last night I think there must've been some deer in the yard.  They all went running after something and whatever ran away sounded pretty large.

Holly - she is doing well.  We've been taking some slower paced walks and I've given her more soft food to eat... based upon your comments, she was not fond of her dental on Thursday.  :(

Sparky - no updates today b/c I'm not seeing her til tonight.  I might not update the blog everyday through the holiday, just an fyi.

Lesson Learned #44

Always, always, always check the backyard gates to make certain they're closed.  Even for dogs that I've seen for 3 years and the gate has never been open, still check!  That way Brady whose cute picture I was going to post here but I can't get photobucket.com to work, won't go for a little excursion in the neighbor's yard (and give me heart failure.)  He was totally fine and came right to me, thank goodness!
