CiCi Jewel

pet sitting, southpark, 28210

Cici, Merlin, Jewel and Kitty - I've been hanging out with this crew for a few days. I'd not seen them in awhile and I had not met Jewel before. She is such a good girl and so sweet and so cute! I love the spots on her nose and she LOVES to be outside. The picture of Cici is one I took last time I pet sat which has been awhile back. I think she is so pretty, I saved this photo on my phone. :)

Charlie - Charlie is enjoying meal time and his walks. It was dark when I walked him this morning and there was an owl hooting nearby. I don't think he liked that sound. I stayed close to him even though I wasn't really concerned about an owl having an interest in him. He's a pretty big guy!

Bella - Miss Bella has been very wiggly and excited to see me. She, however isn't eating. She is certainly acting fine and she is drinking her water. I'm thinking maybe she doesn't love the new food??

Madison and Murphy - I think these two are both part dog. Both greeted me at the door with their tails wagging (I swear) this morning. I fed them, scooped the box and took your trash can out this morning. I appreciated their providing my early morning entertainment.

Madison 2014 Well.... it was 7am before I got there again today. I apologized to them and they forgave me as soon as I fed them! I stayed a little longer today. Madison preferred being pet to having her picture taken so I obliged.

I got there at 7am and they both thought that was too late. :) Both came running to greet me at the door as soon as I walked in. I will get there earlier tomorrow! I fed them and while they ate, I scooped the box. I am hoping to try and snap some pictures of them. I need some kitty pictures for the new website!

Jay, Chloe and the pet sitter doing pet photography

Jay-running-PS 169

Jay-25-PS

This picture of her running is from yesterday morning. It was dark outside so I had to adjust the exposure and brightness quite a bit. What I learned is that taking pictures of a moving target is tough and either my timing is bad or Jay runs with her eyes squinting a lot. :) I am sure it is my timing. This is the best picture of her with her eyes open. I'd love to get one of her with her head up and where you can really see the ball. The other two were taken yesterday afternoon when the sun was out. The picture of her taken on the home screen of the website is an older photo that I took with my phone. She must love that powder... she really gobbles up her food now. Chloe is eating well too and she is getting lots of love.

**I'm not sure why but I have a thing for really up close shots of dogs' faces and noses (I didn't get any of those of Jay) and also their back legs (hence the hind end photo.) Perhaps the back leg thing is: I have labs. As they age, they usually develop arthritis and they lose the stability in their back legs. I love a dog's back legs that look strong and sturdy. It is something I don't take for granted. I think that's why. :)

Lesson Learned #49 by this pet sitter

I usually wear my glasses instead of my contacts to my early morning round of visits.  What I learned this morning:  it is easier to take pictures when I have my contacts in.  I ended up taking off my glasses for the photos of Jay and Chloe this morning!
