pet sitting on Sunday 7/22

He is sitting nicely... he wants the treat in my hand! :) Lincoln - He is doing just great.  He enjoyed rolling around in the grass both visits yesterday and this morning we took a walk.  He loved the walk as always!

Scout - hanging out on the deck until the mosquitoes attacked.

Scout - He is such a sweet guy.  He's been getting a lot of rubbing... he likes it when I rub his neck and if I stop, he "paws" me. :)  Too funny.  He also wants to pick up one of your tennis shoes every time he goes into the backyard.  I'm not sure what is up with that but it makes me laugh.  This morning he picked up both of them at once.  I've been giving him all of his medicine too.

Hadley... all ready for night night last night.

Hadley & Ollie - I let them out last night and then this morning, Hadley ran outside with a towel in his mouth before I saw it.  I got it back inside though. :)  I can be sneaky too!!

Hawk - wishing Id throw the tennis ball!

Turk - waiting to see once I throw the tennis ball, can he get to it before Hawk?

Hawk & Turk - Hawk is as ball crazy as ever.  I had to let them run around the yard last night before attempting to leash them up for their walk.  Turk was a little excited when he saw the leash. :)  Big party on your street last night, lots of cars and people out so we didn't want too far but they did both pee (Turk several times) and they both pooped too.  They're out in the yard now til you get home.

Tibby Whiskers - she is just fine.  I gave her the medicine all three visits and scooped her box.

Otis - taking a little break from playing.

Otis and Lola - they are funny.  Otis loves to play and Lola has played along some too.  They're both eating well (no surprise with Otis huh?) and then we're spending time out in the yard.  I LOVE your backyard although I should've known better than to sit down in one of your chairs this morning.  My backside got a little damp!

Annabelle heading back into the house after our walk this morning.

Annabelle - she is doing just great and she even had eaten some of her food when I got there this morning.  She is going to hang out some today with her neighbor friends and I know she did last night too.  I've not moved the ferns yet.  I will try today.... I went to get them yesterday and they were really wet and I didn't want to get soaked moving them. :)

pet sitting on Friday 7/20

Like I said, hes doing fine. He looks pretty comfy here! Scout - Scout is doing well.  Last night and this morning, he was sleeping on his bed when I came in.  We went outside so he could take care of all of his business and I gave him his pill last night and all of them this morning.  He ate his dinner last night while I was there and he munched a little bit on his breakfast just as I was leaving.  He got a long belly rub this morning too.  He's a sweet boy!

Lucky, Rocky, Maddie & Cotton - It had stormed last night before I went to your house and Lucky seemed a little anxious when I got there.  I let the dogs out and they both ran out to pee and then came right back inside.  Lucky seemed a little better then and I rubbed on her head and her tummy.  This morning they were all just fine.  I fed them all and scooped the litter box.

Lucky, Rocky, Maddie & Cotton - Lucky patiently waited for me to water the plants this morning.  I could tell she was just dying to run through the water but she didn't.  She was a very good girl! Jackson - I love your backyard!!  I thoroughly enjoyed the visit this morning.  I had my coffee while Jackson roamed around the yard.

Scoobie - I just spoke briefly with Wesley and all is well with Scoobie.  She said he wanted to chase after a cyclist this morning!

Lesson Learned #33 by this dog walker

Some of my clients know I am not a fan of retractable leashes... sorry.  I know many of you use them.  After this morning, I may ban using them.  I probably should have already.  This story ends well and there wasn't ever any danger to this dog but in case you didn't read the "Tail of the Day" from this morning, this is what happened: I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason.  I didn't walk Jackson this morning.  I'm not sure why b/c if I'm going to walk him it would be on the morning visit when it isn't so hot.  We were hanging out in the backyard and he must've seen a chipmunk.  He went digging (and digging and digging) and I couldn't get him to stop.  I grabbed his leash and leashed him up so that I could keep him away from the hole.  He wasn't even pulling and the leash snapped.  Next thing I know I've got the handle in my hand and he is back at the hole.  My immediate thought was thank God I wasn't out walking him when this happened.  So... you need a new leash.  I left one of my 6 foot leashes at your house to use.

If I would've been out walking Jackson and this happened, it could've been a disaster.  It wasn't and I thank God for that.

Sparky - she wanted to eat breakfast before even going outside this morning so that's what we did!  Then she went zooming out! Lucky and Rocky- ready to race in the door for breakfast.

Rocky, Lucky, Maddie & Cotton - I fed the kitties this morning and went out with the dogs.  I threw some sticks for Lucky while Rocky roamed around the yard.  I fed the dogs when we went back in and I scooped the litter box.

Holly & Tibby - Holly and I took a nice walk this morning.  She peed numerous times (too many to count!) and she pooped too.  I gave her the pill after breakfast and then I scooped Tibby's box and gave the medicine to her too.

Nas - he was sleeping under your car this morning when I drove up.  I fed him and gave him fresh water.

Jackson - All is well.  I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason.

Scoobie - here is Wesley's note:  he is doing great!  We went out twice this morning and he ate and even gave me some kisses!

Sparky - she is doing just fine.  I've been putting her in every afternoon and I will again today.  It's supposed to be 100.  I watered the garden this morning too. Where I found Jackson yesterday afternoon when I arrived

Jackson - As I was leaving yesterday morning, your mom was pulling in to water your plants so Jackson got back to back visits!  We went for a walk this morning.  He loved it and I enjoyed it too - it's not hot yet!

Nas - it's Friday so I gave him some catnip this morning.  :)

Scoobie - here is Wesley's note:  Scoobie was a little unsure at my first visit but then when I put the leash on him, he was fine!  He has been very happy to see me since.  He spins and dances around for me now!!
