Dog walking on Friday Jan 29

Jackson - Jackson met me at the door this morning, I guess he was ready to go out.  He went out but then stood on the porch until I came outside with him.  (It was cold out!)  He took care of his business and I gave him a treat when he came in.  He laid down on the couch and I sat in front of him to pet him.  When I did, I got a few kisses from him.  :)  2nd visit:  He was snuggled between the pillows on the couch when I came in this afternoon.  He looked pretty comfy!  He went outside and peed and then ran around a little bit. Hero - Hero took me on a long walk today.  Perhaps he knows there is snow coming and he probably wont be out much tomorrow.

Maggie - Maggie enjoyed her walks today and got to see a couple of the neighborhood kids this afternoon.  She also got to see a cat and she really wanted to walk over to it and say hello but we didnt.  :)

Sunny & Louis - they enjoyed their walk today.  Louis would pick up a leaf and then run with it for a minute.  He was pretty funny.  On the way back, the boys started to chase each other around and play.

Max - Max was awake when I came in today but he was slow to get up.  Once he did, he went outside and peed then he turned around and headed for the front door.

Pet sitting on Thurs Jan 28

Jackson - well, he had an early, eventful morning.  Poor guy, his little heart was just racing when I got there.  I think the alarm had just gone off again.  I took him outside and he ran around a little bit.  When we went back inside, I fed him and he ate some.  He looked ready for a snooze when I left!  2nd visit:  it is really nice outside so we stayed in the yard a good bit.  He behaved himself:  sniffing but no hunting! Hero - I think Hero thought it was a little warmer this morning.  He was ready for his walk and today he walked pretty far.

Maggie - Maggie was a little unnerved by the garbage trucks this morning and then this afternoon the Fed Ex truck went by.   She is not a fan of big trucks.

Louis & Sunny - I had my fingers crossed when I walked in the house hoping that Louis had behaved himself.  I think he had... I only found 1 sock near the front door that probably shouldnt have been there.  We went for a nice walk, both pooped.

Brady & Ferguson - neither one of them really wanted to walk today.  They perched themselves right in front of 2 guys that were having a conversation about construction.  I know this because I heard the entire conversation!  I tried and tried and tried to get them to move.  Brady would come to me but Ferguson wasnt budging.  Benjamin drove by in the car so they said hello to him as they slowed down and went by.

Max - Max was awake when I came in today.  He got up and we went outside so he could pee.

Daisy - Daisy trotted around the circle today and peed several times.  He pooped too!

Dog walking on Wed Jan 27

Hero - Hero peed twice and was ready to come back inside. I picked him up and carried him a little ways because he'd not taken care of all of his business.  Once he did, he turned around and headed for home.  It was cold! Maggie - Maggie tried to eat a plastic spoon today.  I saw her grab for something and then I heard the crunch.  I got it out of her mouth.... but she didn't want to give it up!

Brady & Ferguson - they got to see several people today - all of whom came up to them to say hello.  Honestly, the people kind of had to because the boys would just sit down and stare at them.  It worked!

Max - Max was awake when I came in today.  I think sometimes he hears the alarm... I think sometimes he hears the alarm.  He was pretty wobbly today when he was standing and walking but other than that, he seemed just fine.

Cleo - I think Cleo was ready to go outside today.  She was doing a little dance towards the door when she came downstairs so I quickly grabbed her leash and we went outside.  She sniffed a little bit but then she did pee and poop before we even got out of your yard.  We walked almost all the way to the park today - her leg seemed fine, makes me wonder if I imagined the limping yesterday.

Jackson - He had a funny look on his face when he saw it was me coming in (he was sleeping on the couch.)  He got up right away to come and say hi.  I think he would like to be my partner in my job and come along with me on my visits.  He REALLY smelled me for a long time - I think he would like to meet some of the dogs I saw earlier today (which is 8 dogs if you include my 2!)  2nd visit:  We had a nice visit - I read one of your magazines while he ate some of his dinner.  Then he jumped up on the couch with me and I even got a few kisses from him before I left!

Dusty - We had a nice walk around the circle.  He took care of all of his business and then he was ready to head back inside so he could eat his dinner!

Dog walking on a windy Tuesday Jan 26

I must remember to grab another pack of Kleenex for my purse.  Windy + Cold = Need Kleenex :) Hero - I didn't think Hero would want to walk today.  I figured he'd be too cold with the wind.  Well, he surprised me!  I have to say that I didn't mind at all!  Walking especially at his fast pace is really nice when it is cold!  I am still amazed at how fast his little legs can go.  I'm not even close to keeping up with him!  He took care of all of his business and then he led me right back to his house!

Maggie - Maggie and I took a nice, long walk this morning.  We were lucky in that we were down wind except for the very last stretch and we had plenty of sunshine so it was nice.  (I also had on 4 layers of clothing. :) )

Lucy - Lucy patiently waited for me to lock up the house before we went for our walk.  I'd put her leash and collar on and she was just standing by the gate waiting for me.  We had a nice walk (last half of the walk.... very windy, pretty dang cold!)  I threw the ball for her a few times when we got back and then we went inside.  She was super-interested in her Kong.  She got the treat out (so of course I put another one in before I left!)

Sunny & Louis - I put their coats on them both today.  Louis might have been fine without his... he runs so much he probably warms up okay.  I know Sunny was glad to have his on.  They both pooped and enjoyed barking at the workers in the area.

Cleo - Miss Cleo was limping a little bit today.  She didnt seem bothered by it at all (she was throwing her rope around when we got back inside the house) but I cut the walk short when I noticed the limp.

Dusty - Dusty peed a couple of times and then he headed for the house.  I think he was hungry :)

Dog Walking on Monday Jan 25

Maggie - Maggie was crazy, silly Maggie today.  She wanted to pick up everything and with as windy as it is outside, there was a lot of stuff blowing by that she wanted!

Brady & Ferguson - the boys enjoyed their walk today.  The barked at the UPS man, Fergie pooped and they both peed.

Sunny & Louis - they both pooped today and of course they peed too many times to count!

Max - Max went outside and peed.

Cleo - Cleo listened to you today.  We took a long way, all the way around.  She pooped too.

Dusty - It was nice to see Dusty again today and I think he remembered me.  He certainly remembered that I feed him after we come back inside from the walk!

Dog walking on Sunday Jan 24

Rain again.... Grace - She peed several times on the walk but she didnt poop.  I put her raincoat on her and she kept stopping every few minutes to shake.  She did it right before we went into the house and I thanked her - she shook off the rain from her coat!  She ate all of the dry food in her bowl while I was there and she ate her canned food too.  (It had her 2 pills in it too.)

Hero - Hero didnt really like the rain but he went out and did all of his business.  He was ready to come back inside right after that!
