Dog Walking and Cat Sitting on Friday April 2

Sparky - Sparky greeted me at the door this morning.  He went outside and peed and then he came in to eat his breakfast.  He'd not eaten his bone last night.  He took it outside with him when I left today.

Chester - I let Chester out when I got there and then I fed him dinner.  We took a walk around the park after that.  And as you can see by the picture above, he is ready to relax and cool off!

Basil - Basil greeted me when I came in with a couple of meows.  I fed him and put a little more water in his bowl.  It was starting to make a slight noise.  I brushed him and we played :)

Lo & Sprinkles - They were happy to see me today.  All of their food bowls were empty (they still had plenty of water.)  I fed them and they both ate some of the canned food.  There was still plenty of it in their bowls when I left and I'm not sure if they ate any of the dry at all.  I tried playing with them using a couple of different toys but they really weren't that into it today.  Perhaps they were thinking about going back for 2nds!

Alex, George & Molly - I had such a blast walking all 3 of them.  Thank you!

Hero - we had a nice walk.  He likes our walks together much better now that it is warmer outside!

Thurs 4/1: lots of chihuahuas and a handful of labs

Today is April Fools but I'm not fooling.  I saw four chihuahuas today and 3 of them look a lot alike!  Check out Alex and Molly who actually are brother and sister and they sure look a lot like Lola.

Alex, George and Molly - Well our walk was interesting... we didn't go very far.  Everybody peed though :)  Molly was scared at first so I carried her.  Alex and George did a little sniffing and Alex did a little barking.  Molly started wiggling in my arms so I figured she wanted down and she did b/c she peed.  I was concerned that she was going to come out of her harness so once she peed, I turned them around and we headed for the house.  I thought our afternoon walk might not involve as much well, walking so we'd gone for a long walk this morning.  One of them pooped this morning but now I can't remember which one it was.

Lola, Sunny & Louie - The boys and I had a nice walk and Lola and I just walked around the backyard.  Everybody peed.  Lola and Louis played when we all got back into the house too.

Sparky - Sparky met me when I drove up tonight.  She immediately went and found her rawhide bone and brought it inside with her.  I fed her dinner and then we went outside for a few minutes to play.  She tried to find her ball but she never did and it was getting dark so if she couldn't find it, I certainly wasn't going to be much help!  I took her collar off of her and as I was leaving, she wanted to come back outside with me.  I heard her cry a little bit as I closed the door... which made me feel bad.  I might spend a little extra time with her tomorrow :)  (when it is light outside and I can see!)  Her water "bowl" on the front porch was almost empty.  I'll be sure to refill it tomorrow morning.

Maggie - Maggie got to see a lot of her neighbors today.  There were a bunch of people out b/c of the really nice weather.

Dog walking on Wed March 31

I am very late posting my blog today.  It pretty much suffices to say ditto for yesterday:  I LOVE my job and all of the dogs were just great:  Maggie, George, Alex, Sunny, Louis, Steve, Max, Cleo and Dusty.  And of course, my guys Buddy and Sam.  Although I found out today that Buddy's Canine Therapy Class that he was supposed to start on Saturday got canceled because a lack of interest.  I haven't told him yet.  Don thinks he'll be really disappointed.  We're not complaining though... life is good! We need doggie prayers for Dusty.  He's having ear surgery tomorrow.  We'll be thinking about you Dusty.

Lots of dog walking on Tuesday March 30

I had a ton of dog walks today AND the weather was beautiful!!  I LOVE my job!!!

George and Alex - we had 2 great visits today.  I took them for a walk this morning and they both did pretty good.  I turned them around after just a few blocks so I could feed Alex and then get them back outside again before I left.  While Alex ate, George would "sit" for his treats.  When I was getting them ready for their first walk, I had the leash on Alex and I was putting the leash on George, Alex squatted on the rug in front of the front door.  I soaked as much of it as I could with paper towels.  Sorry.  :(  On the 2nd visit, we went for another walk and Alex pooped this time.  George kept turning around and looking towards the house (does his miss you... that's what I'm thinking.)  I picked him up and carried him for a little while.  If I hadn't other dog walks today, I could've stayed at your house and played with them all day.  Alex loved playing and George loved cuddling.  We made time for both of those activities too!

Maggie - Maggie and I had 2 really nice walks today and she got to see a bunch of people in the neighborhood including Keagan the GoldenDoodle!

Lucy - Lucy and I enjoyed a nice long walk.  She was ready to go and I enjoyed stretching my legs!

Brady & Ferguson - they both did great today walking.  We even ran into Benjamin and Frankie and Brady didn't bark at all.  Now granted when we say B&F we turned around and went the other way but I was very pleased!  When we got back close to your house, your neighbor was getting in her car to leave.  We were just about at the end of the sidewalk so I stopped them.  I told them to "sit" and they both did.  They were so cute!  I think your neighbor thought they were cute too!!  I was very proud of them!

Louis & Sunny - we are all loving this weather!  Both of the boys enjoyed their trot around the neighborhood.

Steve - He is really coming out of his shell.  He is still a little timid but he's getting braver everyday.  He's so funny when he gets excited too.  His whole body wiggles!

Max - Max seemed to be feeling pretty good today.  He peed, did some sniffing outside and he hopped right up the stairs to get back into the house.

Cleo - Miss Cleo was about 4 houses down and she stopped to roll on her back and lay in the sunshine at 3 of the houses.  She was just enjoying the sunshine!

Dusty - Dusty thought I smelled good today.... and according to him I probably did.  Other than my dogs, he was my last walk of the day.  His little tail was just a wagging as he was sniffing me.  We walked around the circle and he pooped!

Maggie - Maggie was a sweet girl today and she sat nicely while I put her leash and collar on.  She got to see one of the neighborhood boys and she did really well.  She was a little timid at first but she did just fine. Brady & Ferguson - we walked outside of the neighborhood today and they had fun!

Sunny & Louis - they are both loving this warmer weather.  Sunny just stood with his head in the air soaking in the sun.

Max - Max got up, went out and to pee and then he walked around for a few minutes before coming back inside.

Cleo - She was in the mood to walk today!

Dusty - We walked around the circle and he pooped!

Benjamin, Frankie & PJ - it was raining when we got up this morning so I just let them out and fed them.  I  stopped back by after my other morning visits and let them out again because it'd stopped raining.  Benjamin found a pen in the office and decided to chew it up.  I found a lot of pieces so I'm hoping he didn't eat any of it.  He seems totally fine but I will keep an eye on him.  PJ came over to me while the dogs were outside and got a nice long rub on his head and ears. Sweetie - It was dark when I got to your house.  Sweetie spent more time than usual in the backyard.  Usually she pees and comes right back to me.  She did pee but then she walked away to where I couldn't see her.  When she came back she squatted just before she walked out of the grass.  I'm not sure if she was peeing or if she might have diarrhea.  Again, I couldn't see her so I really don't know.  Maybe she was just sniffing and then she had to pee again.

Chester - I thought Chester was funny this morning.  I come into the kitchen and he doesn't greet me.  (It is early.)  I flip the light on and walk into the den... he is still curled up on his bed.  I walk over to him and he just rolls over.  So I sat down beside him and pet him.  I think he knew it was Sunday and he gets to sleep in normally.  He got up and went outside and peed (after I went out with him :) )  Then I fed him and then we went for a walk.

Chaos, Peyton and Eli - Everyone was doing well this morning.  The dogs were in the back room with their food and water so that is where I put them when I left.  Yesterday (sorry I forgot to do the post yesterday) they were in the spare bedroom and I put them back in there.
