Dog and Cat Sitting on Christmas Eve 2009
Max and Genny - They were barking as I walked up today. They went inside and out a couple of times while I was there and Genny didn't bark too much :) She ate about 1/2 of her breakfast while I was there too. 2nd and 3d visits: they're great. Genny finished her dinner tonight and they both went back outside a couple of times. Max thought I smelled good :)
Allie & Tilly - Allie and I played outside with the football a little bit this morning. Tilly sat at the backdoor wanting to come out with us! Midday and evening visits: Tilly is happy... she has a full tummy. Allie is as sweet as ever!
Basil - He got brushed and brushed and brushed today. He just loves it. That kind of looks like him in the picture below.... :)
Mr Lucky Meow, Oh No and Rilly - They were all up in your room this morning. I cleaned out their food bowls and refilled them and gave Rilly her medicine. They really seem to like using the litter box in the spare bedroom.... it is definitely the one they're using the most! They all seem to be doing just fine. 2nd visit: Rilly was downstairs again and the boys were upstairs. Rilly took her medicine... no problem. :)
Grace, Sugar and Max - Grace greeted me at the door today. She wasn't nearly as timid as she'd been on previous visits. Max was asleep on the chair (as I later discovered on the heating pad!) I couldn't find Sugar at first... I'm thinking she was alseep in your closet... maybe?? Both Sugar and "the horse" ate all of their dinner!
Sweetie - I think Sweetie misses you. She went outside and peed right away and then she really liked it when I sat down to pet her. I even got a couple of kisses. Merry Christmas from Sweetie to me :)

Max & Genny - I think they really like sleeping in your bedroom at night.... or at least I think that is where they sleep. Max's bed was laying in the doorway between the kitchen and dining room. I'm not really sure why it wasn't in the kitchen! They are both doing just great!! 2nd visit: They both went outside a couple of times but then they came in. Genny ate a little bit while I was there. 3rd visit: Genny finished her bowl of food while I was there tonight. Max went in and out a couple of times while she ate and then she went back out again too. Basil - I brushed Basil this morning and he just rolled from side to side. When I stopped, he let me know that he wanted me to keep going! He starting meowing. He's eating well too.
Rilly, Mr Lucky Meow and Oh No - They were all doing just fine this morning. I gave Rilly her medicine and you are right, she sure does love turkey. (and so do the boys!) The food that I'd left for her in the bedroom last night was gone so hopefully she ate that (and not the boys!) I did sneak back in to peek at her this morning right before I left and she was eating :) 2nd visit: Rilly was downstairs when I came in and she stayed around so I could give her the medicine. She ate it right up! And the boys tried to sneak in so I had to give them a little turkey too! The 2 bowls downstairs still had a bit of food in them but the one upstairs was eaten. I remember last time they tended to eat more at night so we shall see in that holds true this time too!
Maggie - Maggie got to see Zoe this morning and she had a lot of fun!
Max - Max was sleeping pretty hard when I came in today. He did wake up and he went outside and took care of his business.
Punkin - Punkin greeted me at the door today. I pet him and then grabbed his brush. He really does like it but when he pawed at the brush a couple of times, I figured it was time to stop. I refilled his food dish and topped of his water too.
Allie & Tilly - Allie did her little dance for me again tonight. She is so funny, I swear she can always make me smile. She went outside and rolled around on her back in the grass. It was dark and she was hard to see but I could tell that is what she was doing. Tilly REALLY wanted to be outside with us too!
Dog and Cat Sitting on Tues 12/22
Max and Genny - I did let them have the run of the house last night and they seemed to like that. I didn't have any problems this morning with anyone trying to escape out the front door as I was coming in :) Genny had eaten all of her food and neither one of them seemed to mind the cold this morning. I on the other hand sat at the table with my coffee and read the paper! 2nd visit: Genny and Max enjoyed the sunshine this afternoon while I ate my lunch. (I ran through the Chick-fil-a drive through on the way to your house!) Genny has really liked being outside... she just sits out there, alert. I think she is on squirrel watch! Basil - He was really talking this morning. I rubbed on him and we played with the string again.
Maggie - She got to see one of her most favorite neighbors this afternoon. I think it made her day!
Max - Max was awake when I came in today. You had a box and a gift at your front door so maybe he heard me bringing that stuff in b/c by the time I went in to see him, he was awake!

Max and Genny were just great this morning. I love seeing them again. Although we woke your nephew up..... of course there were a couple of squirrels in the yard so they had to do some barking! I brought a book so I sat and read a little bit so Genny would eat. I crated them before I left too. 2nd visit: I think they were ready to get out of the crate. Genny just stretched when she came out. It was nice outside so we spend some time outdoors. Just an fyi - I am probably not going to update the blog after each visit.... I might just do it once / day, particularly when I get busier!
Basil - We played with the green string for a long time today. I sat in the chair, had the green string in one hand and my coffee in the other so we were both happy.
Maggie - She enjoyed doing a lot of sniffing on the walk today. She was really curious about the workers in the area.... she stared at them for a long time. She got to see a neighbor's dog so she liked that too!
Brady & Ferguson - I really let the boys play today.... since they're going to the groomer's tomorrow :) They had fun rolling around in the grass and jumping on each other.
Max - Max was snoozing on his bed when I came in but he woke up and we went outside.
Punkin - I made a friend today. He loves to be brushed so I did (and wow, he is really shedding too!) I tried to capture all of his hair and throw it away. I cleaned his box (ha, I pushed the button on it!!), fed him and I added a little water to his feeder.

Hanna greeted me this morning with a few barks but then she was ready to go outside. Thank goodness it isn't raining anymore.... I don't think she likes the rain! She went outside and took care of her business and I gave her a treat when she came back in.
