Pet sitting on Friday 2/5

Jay & Chloe - Chloe met me at the door this morning and I think Jay was still sleeping.  She came from the den when she heard me!  She either doesn't like the rain, only wants to go outside with a human, or both.  She did go outside and pee but I didn't throw the ball for her this morning.  It was really raining hard.  (I did find the paw towel in the cabinet.)  Jay had eaten all of her food so I gave her some more and Chloe still had plenty in her bowl.  PM Visit:  It was raining pretty hard still.  Jay went outside and peed and then she headed straight for the door.  I wiped her paws off and rubbed on Chloe a little bit too.  I gave Chloe a little more food and cleaned out her box. Hero - He didn't like the rain at all this morning.  He did pee 2x but that was it.  He was ready to come back inside.

Maggie - I put her raincoat on and we went for a short walk (to the end of the street and back.)  It was really raining at the time.  I dried her off when we got back to the house and I looked at a magazine while she got to enjoy some time out of her crate.

Louis & Sunny - Neither of the boys wanted to walk today in this rain.  They did and Sunny pooped but I don't think they liked it too much.  :(

Max - It took Max a little while to get up today but when he went outside he peed right away and he came back up the stairs pretty fast.  Maybe he wanted to get out of the rain!

Pet Sitting on Thurs 2/4

Hero - Hero walked a long ways today, so long that I lost count how many times he peed! Maggie - Maggie got to play with Don today while he was out raking our yard.  She had fun!

Brady & Fergie - the boys walked around the circle today.  It took some coaxing from me but they did it!

Sunny & Louis - they barked up a storm at the golden retrievers that live nearby.  They both seemed to enjoy their walk today and I put Louis in his crate before I left.

Max - Max was awake when I came in again today too.  I'm guessing that he must hear the alarm beeping.  He went outside and peed.

Dusty - we definitely have our routine down.  Walk around the circle and then Dusty heads straight for the door because he knows it is time to eat!

Jay & Chloe - Jay was waiting at the door when I opened it.  We went outside and I threw the ball for her.  It has been lightly raining for an hour or so.  Tomorrow is supposed to be a very cold and rainy so I figured I'd take advantage of a light rain tonight :)  Chloe was doing just fine.  I gave her a few treats.

Dog Walking on Wed 2/3

Hero - I think he was cold today (it was still wet out too.)  He was more than ready to come in when we did! Maggie - Crazy Maggie enjoyed digging in the snow again today.  She is hilarious.

Brady & Ferguson - the boys walked for a little bit today.  Fergie is still content to just sit down but the sunshine was out so I thought they needed a walk!

Max - Max had spilled his water bowl today but luckily it was right by one of the towels on the floor so it soaked it all up.  I gave him some more water and then we went outside so he could take care of his business.

Cleo - Miss Cleo was in the mood to walk today and she was going at a pretty fast pace too.  We both enjoyed it!

Madden & Diesel - the  boys enjoyed their walk although at times it was a bit soggy.  I tried to avoid the really wet areas!  They both pooped while we were out too!

Dusty - Dusty took me on a different route today for our walk.  He did his usual sniffing, he pooped and of course he peed several times too.

Dog Walking on Tues 2/2

Well.... today was rainy and cold.  So much so that I went out and bought another pair of gloves and I came home at lunch and switched shoes.  Several months ago I blogged that my rain boots were a great purchase.  And they still are, although they are not warm at all!  My toes were frozen!  I  wore my crocs this afternoon and my toes are still toasty warm.  Those are the greatest shoes ever.... I need to look online to see if they come in a boot! Hero - He walked but he didn't like it.  Bless his heart.... these cold temps are hard on my chihuahua clients!

Lucy - Lucy could care less if it is raining.  She just puts her head down and marches on.  I on the other hand was trying to avoid the ice patches (there weren't many luckily.)  She peed a couple of times.  She was funny though.  When we got back to the house she ran straight for the back door.  She didn't even pick up her ball.

Maggie - Maggie wanted to play in the snow again today.  She is funny the way she digs in it.

Brady & Fergie - Brady wanted to roll around in the grass today.  I stopped him - it was way to wet and cold for him to be doing that.  I can't figure out why he want to!

Louis and Sunny - Sunny didn't like the weather today at all (see my note above re: Hero, also a chihuahua.)   For a moment Louis didn't want to walk either but he got over that fast because she trotted in front of me for most of the walk.

Max - Max heard me come in, lifted up his head and then he just laid it back down.  Maybe he was trying to hide so he wouldn't have to wake up and go outside in the cold.  He did go out and he peed.

Cleo - Miss Cleo was ready to walk today and she was going at a really fast pace.  (She saw a cat way down the street so that's what got her going.)  Midday through the way she spotted a dog way in front of us so that kept her going at the fast pace.)  She even pooped twice.

Dusty - Dusty trotted around the circle, pooped and then he was ready to go inside and have his dinner.

Dog walking on Monday Feb 1 in the snow and ice

My goal today:  do not slip and fall.  I did slip, I actually lost count of the number of times but I did not fall... for that I am thankful!  8 dog walks so far and only two to go... hopefully I'll make the last two without falling down! Maggie - she was hilarious this afternoon.  She starting digging in the pile of snow beside the garage.  She was in her downward dog pose and would dig and then kind of jump around.  She got all wound up and was pretty darn funny!

Hero - He was ready for a walk today.  He did a little sliding himself but he didn't seem to mind the snow and ice as much as I thought he would.

Brady & Fergie - they wanted to roll around in the snow.  I didn't really let them once I realized that's what they wanted to do.  They got scared a couple of times and Brady barked like crazy - big chunks of snow would slide off of the houses and make a lot of noise.

Louis & Sunny - Louis likes the snow... why am I not surprised.  I'm sure he would've loved to be off-leash.  Sunny did just fine in the snow but I did pick him up and carry him a couple of times.

Max - Max woke up as I came in today and he got up pretty fast and went outside.

Cleo - Cleo walked out of your house and to the left today.  Then we walked about halfway to the park.  I think she preferred walking on the dry streets... not in the snow!
