Dog walking on Thurs 3/4

Hero - It is getting a little warmer and it seems like our time outside is getting longer.  Hero and I are both ready for some warmer temperatures and everyone I talk to says the same thing! Maggie - Maggie walked really well today.  I can tell you have been working with her a lot!

Max - Max was awake when I came in today.  He got right up and we went outside so he could pee.

Frankie - She barked at me when I came in today.  She has a very loud, deep bark.....great for a watchdog :)  She walked around the circle and she peed 2x and she pooped.

Hero - We were both glad there wasn't a lot of snow on the ground this morning!  Hero took care of his business but I think he wasn't enjoying it when the wind would blow.  I could tell it made him cold. Steve - Cutie-pie Steve was full of energy today and man... his teeth are razor sharp.  He spent a good bit of time trying to entice Murphy to play but Murphy wasn't into playing, he was very patient with Steve though.  Steve gobbled up all of his lunch too.

Maggie - Several times today Maggie wanted to wander around vs walking at a heel.  She did pretty good though.

Brady & Ferguson - the boys finished off all of their food after we walked.  They still weren't their normal high energy crazy boys.

Sunny & Louis - Louis enjoyed his walk today.  I had to carry Sunny a little ways today but then he was fine to walk the rest of the way.  They both pooped.

Max - Max was sleeping behind his dog bed today.  He had a hard time walking over it so we could go outside, crazy guy.  He did though and he peed.

Cleo - Miss  Cleo was ready to walk today.  She did get to say hello to a neighbor which made her day, I think!

Frankie - She is such a sweet dog.  We walked around the circle today and she peed & pooped.

Dusty - Dusty pranced around today and he pooped of course!  He usually does.  :)

Dog walking on Tues 3/2

I don't remember the last time I saw snowflakes this big.  They were so big they made my mascara run... seriously! Hero - We got out before the snow arrived.  He walked around, sniffed and took care of all of his business.

Steve - it wasn't snowing on the morning visit but it was on the afternoon visit.  He didn't pay too much attention to it.  He was a good boy and peed outside and then of course he looked up at me b/c he wanted a treat!

Brady & Ferguson - I can tell that Fergie hasn't felt well.  Neither one of them have a lot of energy today which is so unusual for your boys.  They did both eat a little bit.

Sunny & Louis - Sunny didn't like the snow at all!  I had to carry him for the first half of the walk.  He gladly walked back... he knew he was headed home!

Max - Max went out and took care of his business and was ready to come back in right after that.  It wasn't snowing too hard when I stopped by and we were outside.

Cleo - it started snowing and there was even some rain mixed in so it wasn't very pleasant outside.  Cleo was content to sniff around at first... I was hoping she'd be ready to walk because I was cold.  She did walk to the park and back.

Frankie - Frankie didn't care for the snow.  She peed and then she was ready to go inside.  We walked around 1/2 of the circle.

Dusty - Dusty didn't mind the snow too much but I think he was happy when he got inside and had his dinner!

Pet First Aid and Sam

Every time the boys and I go for a dog walk, we have to go by some rose bushes.  Well today one of the thorns got ahold of Sam's ear.  I didn't notice it until we got home and I saw blood on the wall.  The first thing I checked was his tail.  He has split that open twice before.  No, it wasn't his tail.  Then I checked his mouth.  It was up on the wall about 2 feet so I knew it wasn't his paws.  Then I checked Buddy.  Finally I noticed the blood on his ear.  So, my American Red Cross First Aid paid off today.  (Or perhaps it was the first aid training I remember as a kid.....) anyway, apply direct pressure.  After 5-10 minutes of doing that, it has almost stopped bleed and Sam is glad that I am no longer squeezing his ear.  Hopefully it'll stop completely... I keep checking it and I think it will.

Hadley, Ollie & Daisy - Ollie stayed with me overnight and Hadley was downstairs.  Hadley only barked once and it was before I'd even gone to sleep!  I think we all must've slept better. Gaylord & Finney - The boys were just fine this morning and I think Gaylord would like it if I left my shoes at your house so he could sniff them whenever he wanted!  They'd both finished off their food from yesterday so I refilled their bowls.  Finney does seem to be shaking his head and scratching his ears periodically.

Hanna - Hanna and I played some this morning but not for too long b/c she was barking and it was early!  She'd bark b/c she wanted me to throw her toy... I obviously wasn't doing it fast enough for her!

Hadley, Ollie & Daisy - Hadley started out sleeping in the bed with me but he got up after about an hour and went downstairs.  (I was watching the Olympics....it is nice having a tv in the room.)  :)  Hadley needed bark two different times during the night.  I'm not sure why but he settled down pretty quickly. Gaylord & Finnegan - they must've been hungry last night.  They'd eaten all of their food this morning.  I gave them more and they ran around the yard doing a lot of sniffing this morning.

Hanna - Hanna was snoozing again this morning.  She barked as I came through the door.... not as I was coming up the driveway.  She's been eating a little bit too and I'm always sure to give her a treat when she comes back inside.
