Dog walking on Fri 12/4

Gaylord & Finney - they are doing just fine.  Finney was whining... that was unusual and he was standing beside the couch.  I looked under it (along with a few dust bunnies :) ) there were 2 tennis balls.  I got them out and he was a happy boy! Max - Max was shivering today.... he's not a fan of the cold weather but he did go outside and pee.

Betty & Suzy - I tried to keep them out of the mud today.  There was utility work in your neighborhood yesterday and where they had dug was really muddy!

Maggie - Maggie was ready to go once I put the leash on her.  She took off but then she decided that she needed to stop and sniff me.  I'd been to see some dogs just before seeing her and I think she thought I smelled good!

Dog walking and pet sitting on Thurs 12/3

What a great morning.... it is not raining and I thought is was supposed to be.  That was a very nice surprise!! Gaylord and Finney - well after our texts yesterday, when it wasn't raining this morning I thought I'd take the boys out for an early morning walk.  I had Gaylord at the door ready to go and Finney really, really wanted to go too.  So, I grabbed his collar and leash and decided to take them both at the same time.  2 things I learned:  they pull more when they're walked together and they will pee on each other :(  I learned both of these things pretty quickly.  Luckily, they have had good training (or you've put the fear of god in them) because with a little correction, they listen well and don't pull.  The peeing part was a little harder to manage.  After Gaylord peed on Finnegan (I think we'd not even gotten past your mailbox) I paid more attention and no one else got peed on.  I really don't think they care if they get peed on or not... several times GF could've gotten his head peed on if I'd not gotten him out of the way.  Luckily it was only Finney's back that got peed on and I washed him off when we got back to the house!  2nd & 3rd visits - pretty uneventful:  Gaylord cried when I came in (per usual!) and then he really sniffed me.  I think he'd like to meet Betty & Suzy (2 pits that I usually walk right before I come to your house.)  Finney pooped again... he poops a lot!

Brady & Ferguson - the boys were happy to be out, walking, running and playing.

Max - Max enjoyed the sunshine today.

Betty & Suzy - They were really good girls today on our walk.  They sure did a lot of sniffing.

Dusty - Dusty and I walked around the circle today.  As we got about halfway around, he started running.  I think he was ready for his dinner!

Dog walking and pet sitting on Wed 12/2

It's already raining.  My pants legs got soaked when I walked Sam & Buddy this morning.  I guess I'll be sporting my rain boots today. Well after my 1st round of afternoon walks, I am soaked.  So I have now changed my clothes for the 3rd time today.  I have 3 more walks and I'm hoping it lets up a little bit.... please :)

Gaylord & Finnegan - They went out this morning twice, actually 3 times.  This is the first time I hadn't gone outside and stood in the backyard with them (see above note about rain.)  :)  The last time I put them out, they just stood at the backdoor.  I think they had taken care of all of their business.  Gaylord wanted to be a lap dog this morning.  He jumped up in my lap and then I got kisses on my chin.

Brady & Ferguson - we were outside long enough for them to pee and poop.  Then we came in and they played with their red stuffed toy.  I spent most of my time pulling the stuffing out of their mouths.

Max - Max stayed outside longer than I thought he would've of.  He peed and then he did a little bit of sniffing.  I toweled him off when we got inside.

Cleo - I got a lot of kisses from Cleo today!  She walked more today than she did yesterday, silly girl.  What I can't explain is why she likes to walk down the middle of the street or just stand in the middle of the street for that matter.  Again, silly girl.

Betty & Suzy - Suzy went outside, peed and pooped and she was ready to turn back around towards the house.  Betty on the other hand would've walked 2 times (or more) around the block.   We only went once though.

Dusty - We walked about 1/2 of the loop.  It was raining pretty good.  I did towel him off before I took his leash off.

Dog walking and kitty sitting on Tues 12/1

Gaylord & Finney - They were hilarious this morning.  It was early and cold out (so I had coffee!.)  We were out on the deck and they were chasing each other around.  There was a thin sheet of ice on the deck (I slipped a couple of times) and they were sliding all around.  It was funny!!  I stayed for awhile this morning, drank my coffee and started a new book.  I plan to put some time in on your swing this afternoon :)  3rd visit:  well, the sun had dropped too much (by 4pm) and I didn't have a sweatshirt so I didn't spend time on the swing.  I did hang out and read inside.  I also snatched a Kit Kat bar.... I'm not much into chocolate so they're really not that tempting but for some reason they looked good.  I didn't think you'd mind (you probably would prefer that I eat them all so you won't :))  Who likes all the sour candy, btw?? Basil likes getting brushed so much he even let me brush his head today.  Seriously, his head.  He didn't move.... loved it!!

Lucy - we went for a walk around the neighborhood and then I threw the ball for her.  It ended up getting lost in the ivy (we both looked for it and couldn't find it.)  She grabbed another one though and was content for me to throw that one!

Brad & Ferguson - Today is spent most of my time pulling things out of their mouths (mainly mulch) and the other half of the time watching them to make certain they didnt get the leashes tangled around themselves.  About halfway into the visit, they started playing hard.  Tackling each other, rolling over each other, biting, etc.  No one ever got mad but they were pretty agressive with each other.

Max - He was snoozing hard again today... on a pair of his dad's khaki shorts... that was funny.  He did get up and go outside to pee after I rubbed on his side for awhile.  (Maybe he's just playing me because he likes to be rubbed. :) )

Cleo - She wasn't much for walking today.  We went across the street and then she wanted to stand in the street and then we walked across the other street.  That was about it.  She did pee 2x.

Betty & Suzy - My goal today was to tire them out.  We walked and they did less sniffing than usual.  Suzy seemed tired... Betty could've kept going probably forever!

Dusty - Dusty was ready to go outside and pee.  He pooped to on our loop.

Dog walking, dog and cat sitting on Mon 11/30

Gaylord & Finny - your boys are funny.  They were playing again this morning.  It is hilarious to watch them zooming around the yard.  I've been to see them twice so far today. Basil - Basil got a good brushing today and he loved it.  He was talking to me quite a bit... everytime I stopped. I think he was telling me to continue!

Brady & Ferguson - the boys look like they've grown.  They both peed and pooped and then of course, Fergi had to roll around in the grass.  It had been sprinkling a little so I got them out of the grass :)

Cleo - Cleo walked around the street and sniffed a little bit.  She thought she saw someone and her tail just started going but it was a screen that had ripped and was just blowing in the wind.  Poor girl she got her hopes up that she was going to see someone.

Max - Max was awake before I got to him today.  He went outside and peed.

Betty & Suzy - they loved their walk, as always.

Dog and Cat Sitting on Sun 11/29

Gaylord & Finny - They were happy to see me this morning and I'll be going over to see them again soon.  I've been spending time on your porch swing while the boys hang out in the yard.  I've finished 1 book - I will start another one today! Jay & Chloe - I stopped by early this morning and let Jay out for a potty break.  They'd both eaten all of their food so I fed them too.  I know I'm not scheduled to but I am going to pop in again this morning to let her out.... it'll make me feel better knowing that she doesn't have her legs crossed :)  The advantages of being so close!!

Allie & Tilly - Allie was ready for her breakfast this morning and Tilly just wanted my attention.  She kept getting tangled up in my feet when I was walking.

Amy & Romeo - I came in and fed them both but neither of them were around.  I had to go outside and call for Amy... she was in the yard at the fence.  I think the dog that lives back there was outside too.

Lo & Sprinkles - they have been eating well while you've been gone.  All of their canned and dry food was eaten this morning.  I refilled their bowls and played with them before I left.

Basil - Basil was ready to play this morning.  He was funny (although he still wanted to be pet too.)  I brushed him as well and he'd roll over from side to side so I didn't miss any spots.
